Our dear friends over at @awkscl and @sneakersocialclub were happy for us to share this powerful little live set from @willis-anne which he performed at their party on the 1st of May. We were so impressed and inspired to hear such unique rhythms! Is it footwork? Is it jungle? It's little bits of all of those and something entirely different at the same time. Willis Anne is an innovative composer and performer, taking us on a journey of beats with nothing other than his drum machine 🥁

A therapist once advised me that to pull yourself out of an emotionally uncomfortable/panicked state, you can engage your physical/intellectual self to jolt out of it. And same goes for the other two in the trifecta ~ feeling mentally in a rut: do something that stimulates your body or soul, feeling physically anxious: do something that stimulates your mind or soul! I’m applying and sharing this simple, but effective advice in this mix for kinesis because music is a uniquely transcendent modality that engages and stimulates all three <333"
