Italian-born and -raised Massimiliano Pagliara Massi describes his style as an eclectic mix of house and disco. One might call it classic, but with a definitive modern twist.
He has been spinning at some of the most popular underground venues in town and in Germany, such as Club 103, SO36, Week-End, Maria , Cookies, NBI, Tape club, Berghain/Panorama Bar, Schwutz, Tresor, Wilde Renate, About Blank, Paloma bar, Möbel olfe, Robert Johnson (Frankfurt) as well as abroad in France, Italy, Denmark, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, UK, Sweden, Norway, Israel, etc..

On May 3, Massimiliano will be touching down in Amsterdam for a performance at Horizon, the returning event which has a keen eye on upcoming and out of the ordinary DJ/producers. Up and atom! Radioactive Man is back with a scorcher on the rapidly rising Reinhardt Records. Truth be told, we could have gone for  any of the five cits on the White Light Monochrome EP, but "Mechanical Music Menace" won out; and not just for the Lou Reed referencing title. The track combines a delicate melody with typically Drexciyan propulsion, pushing outwards to the stars and beyond.

The last time we saw Massi he was playing an in-store event for us here at Phonica and the crowd absolutely loved it! We’ve always been big fans of him here at the shop for his outstanding productions which have landed on labels such as ‘Live At Robert Johnson’ on ‘Rush Hour’ but Massi has been a DJ much longer than he’s been a producer and the vast amount of experience he has acquired playing at some of the best underground spots around the world simply can’t be ignored. Recently he’s also been welcomed into the Ostgut family with a spot on their agency’s roster and things seem to only be getting better. Massi describes his style behind the decks as an eclectic mix of House, Disco, Electro and Techno. His selection always pays homage to the past while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of dance music into the future. He also reflects this ethos in the studio where he experiments with new techniques on old analogue synthesizers. With a background in Dance and Choreography, Massimiliano definitely knows what it takes to get you moving and we couldn’t be happier with the extended and eclectic mix he prepared for us today.
