yesss - chapter 18, 1992 pt6. starting and finishing with 2 of my favourite tracks of all time - 'anything can happen' and 'nicholas parsons' - thats what we thought it was saying anyway. if you were listening to stations like weekend rush and defection, you'll remember the first track getting play every show for about 6 months. golden times.

This is the 20th chapter (bloody 20!!!) in a series of mixes called 'trust me i was there' where I'm mixing records that were big on the radio stations I listened to and played on, and the clubs/raves I went to and played at.

This mix is pt 8 from 1992 - a massively important year for uk music development in the early jungle scene - in this mix there's music from Foul Play, Ruffige Kru, Tom n Jerry, Tango, DJ SS and a few others - including the anthem that still gets played today - Bukem's mix of Atlantis. 

When I was doing this mix i remembered where i heard Darkman 'dark as it gets' first - it was Randall at Orange, Holloway road. Vibes.

Big up all the folks that message me and say they play these mixes at house parties, makes my day!!

in 1992 i was on impact (or it might have been format by then) with my dj partner Swift - we did every sat and sunday 4 hours both nights, then hung out in the studio in case a cover show came up. i think eager is the word :D

zinc - trust me - chapter 21

This is chapter 24 of a mix series called 'trust me i was there' - the music that was big in the clubs/raves i was playing at and going to, and the radio stations i was on, and listened to. 
there are some bangers in this mix - stuff from Roni, Pascal, Mark Pritchard (one of the most underrated producers, really worth looking at his discogs)the massive 'Scotty', stuff by Neil Trix, DJ Ron, Bukem and loads more. My favourites in this mix are the FBD 'core' track (black label both sides - so hard to work out what it was!!) and the Bounty Killaz 'do it now' track - for a couple of months that track was the biggest anthem in places like Rocket Holloway Road etc.
