In keeping with our recent trend at the channel, we are back with another fast-paced, peak-time mix orchestrated by HC boss ĀMAN.

For anyone that has listened or danced to ĀMAN’s sets before, you would know that he tries his utmost to emulate those that he takes inspiration from. The deepest draw for ĀMAN is that indescribable 90s sound. It is a sound that is very distinct, that was created in the sweaty warehouses across Europe where ecstatic dancers grooved to musical soundscapes played primarily on vinyl, all united in the act of letting go. The 90s rave sound wasn’t defined by a genre, it was always about the collective experience, primarily about letting the music flow and do its thing.

Despite never actually have gone to a rave in the 90s, ĀMAN’s obsession with that era of music is pinched from art, literature and films from the time, combined with accidentally stumbling upon the modern day electronic music subculture that champions this sound. Labels and artists that aren’t intent on elbowing their way into spotlight; they are more so advocates for a very unique, quintessentially “rave” sound that ĀMAN just cannot get enough of.

And so in an attempt to recreate that very unique vibe, ĀMAN is here to headline episode 19. As always, ĀMAN blends a variety of genres together without ever letting the music lose its momentum. Expect a cocktail of deep techno, trance, progressive, acid, electro and breaks, all mixed in to keep you shuffling through as you go about your day.
