My third official DJ set for you listening pleasure. 

I have been getting into House music of all kinds a lot recently after touring some underground festivals here in BC. Been super inspired by local DJs and friends who have turned me on further to this genre of music. 

I had a lot of fun crafting, creating and playing, especially after I got over the early nerves and just settled into the flow!

The set has a blend of deep house and progressive house with a switch towards Italo disco (or as I like to call it Space disco) towards the end.

I was the opening set of the evening, and so went for something relaxing, deep and groovy to draw people in and chill out to as the party got going.

Hyperbolic Chamber #1: deep hypnosis with ĀMAN

Opening the night really allows me to explore the deeper side of techno (a subgenre I have fallen in love with), and so for this set at Vantek, playing for Ride the Rave, I was really able to tap into this obsession and bring forward tracks I have been aching to perform with. 

Besides playing tracks reminiscent of the sound of artists I have grown to admire (Aurora Halal, Christopher Ledger among so many more), I wanted to bring in some rave music -- long, 90s inspired, trance sounds -- that to me is "peak" rave. Dance music you can just close your eyes to, and groove and move until infinity. 

While the recording is just over an hour, my set was for an hour and half, and seeing as Ride the Rave nights are known for their hard, no-nonsense techno, I tried my best to set the night up for the DJs to follow. 

I felt I was able do that, while still throwing in a couple of bangers to let the crowd sink their teeth in and move their feet a bit. 

This set meant the absolute world to me, and I hope it comes through to when you give it a listen!

I was thrilled to be back to play at Electric Love again, this time for its tenth year anniversary. Today's mix traverses through deep, techy, trance and techno with loads of progressive and ravey elements to it. 

Featuring tracks from labels -- Spaziotempo, Earth Dog Records, Haŵs, Butter Sessions among so many more -- and artist -- djfix, jek, Sleep D, Tifra, Rene Wise, Dustin Zahn -- that I rate so highly, and model so much of my music on, this one is very near and dear to my heart.

ĀMAN on Decks: ravey tech at the Zen Den Stage @ Electric Love Music 2025

What an absolute treat we have for you on this month's episode featuring Seattle-based multi-instrumentalist, and producer BCXG. A mix of gargantuan proportions, with music never played before, and a sound never featured on the channel before. 

Composed entirely of songs produced by BCXG, this particular project -- made exclusively for Hyperbolic Chamber -- is a mix of recent Drum and Bass remixes, all of which are available on Beatport under "BCXG."

Introduced to underground electronic music in 1999, Ben Colgan (BCXG) saw a future with electronic dance music.  He spent his college years as a DJ with Stylus Grooves and Stylus Systems, and Oneself Connect, playing local events in Eugene, OR.  Dabbling in music production became a hobby in 2009 and after moving to Seattle in 2010, music production became more of a project. 

In 2021, BCXG started producing full time, resulting in a wealth of work, available on SoundCloud, with recent releases on all platforms, including BeatPort.
