A/D/E/P is the new release from Belgian production duo GoldFFinch, who have been causing a stir of late with their readily identifiable sound. With recent releases on labels like Innervisions, Turbo and Dirtybird, the two Belgians have proven they have what it takes to grab an audience’s attention and this two track EP is no exception.

First up is ‘Algae’, a beautifully orchestrated piece of music, with a tense, almost melancholic tone that successfully threads its way through the whole track. Subtle where it needs to be and always becoming, give into it and this track will take you to far flung places.

‘Dilligence’ meanwhile opens with basic percussion that introduces the track’s first elements and sets a tone that right up to the end takes it into perfect after-hours territory.  With no let up the driving factor is the constant barrage of percussion over which the duo go to work with their synths laying down ambient textures. Together these tracks form a brilliant EP; one we couldn’t be happier to share with you.

With another stellar year under her belt, Anja Schneider is hitting 2016 in inspired form. A new year means a fresh sound for the Berliner, who is diving deep into her record collection to draw inspiration from a variable palette of sounds from across the years. 

The accomplished three tracker kicks off with ‘Soul Traveler’, a rich jazzy vocal-led techno cut that shakes with Schneider’s unmistakable groove. Deeply nuanced and analogue-driven, ‘Vintage’ mixes up low humming bass, multi-layered drums and melodic chords for a beautiful deep techno offering. ‘Bay Side’ drips with atmosphere and is the artist’s brilliant twist on tech funk, driven by punchy keys, intricate drums and cascading synth hook that builds the tempo towards a satisfying dancefloor-ready crescendo.

Anja Schneider’s ‘Soul Traveller’ EP is her first collaboration with producer and engineer Jan-Eric from Autotune.

Oliver Koletzki & Niko Schwind team up for a trip down the rabbit hole with “Black Walls”.

The title track fires off with a round of arpeggiated synths, a recurring pattern and focal point of the entire arrangement. Decked with sharp percussion and eerie synths, “Black Walls” unfolds like a downward spiral, in a mesmerizing and grave rhythm.

Reinier Zonneveld amplifies the depth of the track, by adding trance inducing layers. With the initial arpeggiated sequence at its core, Zonneveld infuses his own style of compact techno, reworking “Black Walls” into an entirely different rendition.

The closing track, although situated in the same deep and obscure registry, complements the raw power of the first two with the help of its smooth vocals. Paired with darker vocal pads and packing the same hypnotic rhythm, “My Vision” comes off as an imaginative melodic tech exploration.

A lifelong fan of electronic music, Hyperbolic Function began playing  instruments at the age of 13 and started DJing at 16. After moving to London in 2009, he immersed himself in the underground scene, which deeply influenced his sound and his dedication to the genre led him to found and manage the successful techno blog, The Techno Kittens.

Based in London, Hyperbolic Function has performed at iconic venues such as Electric Brixton and The Shelter. He also hosted Melodic Electronic on Music Box Radio, where his dynamic DJ sets and finely tuned productions found a dedicated audience.

His music is known for its progressive and melodic sound, characterised by a euphoric yet melancholic rave edge, enriched with intricate melodic layers. His debut EP, Ascending, released through Reckoning Records, soared the progressive house charts taking the #1 releases spot and peaking at #7 & #11 in the Hype and Top 100 charts.  

Currently, he is working on new music including a new EP, remixes, and preparing for upcoming DJ gigs.
