Monotronique is an Ukrainian producer and DJ from Kharkiv (UA). His production is characterized by a distorted minimalistic vibe with a bass music inuence. From heavy basses and 2step-like drums to ambiance landscapes and electro beats. In his performances he is able to amalgamate pure and raw passion with a textbook technique; this combination is also what is behind his prolic production. Previously released on Opal Tapes and Shared Meanings among other labels, Monotronique debuts on Hyperboloid Records with 'MAAAAAAAD' 
 
In this album Monotronique was interested in a new kind of sound and focusing on creation of specific atmosphere inside.the sound. MAAAAAAAD is based on different sides of bass music with detours through dance-hall and house. When put together all genres mutate and interconnect into funny and mad atmosphere, hence the title of the album. Monotronique wanted to achieve this with synths and a certain way of mixing  tracks, adding to the final mix a kind of a "wet" sound. A special effect as if you were listening to the music in a room full of toys, balls and balloons, a sonic journey to the amusement park.

Альбом Ромы Broosnica получился неожиданно "нашим" - здесь в совершенно простых и легких формах как будто бы все лучшее, что было у нас за последние 5 лет. И удивительно то, что по итогу это не звуковой винегрет, а просто смесь настроений, цикличных ритмов и та самая тонкая связь. Мы хотели выпустить этот релиз еще летом, но решили не торопиться, ведь, как ни крути, такая музычка заходит всегда. Приятных ягодных.

Broosnica's album turned out to be unexpectedly "ours" - here in completely simple and light forms as if all the best that we've had over the past 5 years.  And what's most surprising - being this emotionally eclectic it's not a sound salad in the end, but simply mixed moods, cyclic rhythms and that thin, very musical connection. We wanted to release this thing thing back in the summer but decided not to rush because at the end of the day this kind of music always comes in. Nice berries y'all.

Konstantin Starostin, aka St Costa, a producer from Kursk, has prepared a release consisting of variegated broken rhythms and it's interpretations. To some extent, the sound was formed from a mixture of d'n'b, jungle and breakcore of late 00s and 90s classic electronica. However, having paid tribute to the retrospective, St Costa sounds fresh and modern using the listed genres rather as a form, a shell, inside which the artist is most comfortable to express himself today. To all break lovers!


Константин Старостин aka St Costa, продюсер из Курска, подготовил для нас релиз, состоящий из разношерстных ломаных ритмов и их интерпретаций. В какой-то степени звучание сложилось из смеси d'n'b, джангла и брейккора конца нулевых и классической электроники 90-ых. Впрочем, отдав дань ретроспективе, St Costa звучит свежо и современно, используя перечисленные жанры скорее как форму, оболочку, внутри которой артисту наиболее удобно высказаться сегодня. Всем любителям ломанья!
