- About Safar Collective

Safar Collective - a multidisciplinary art community, est. 2021 - was formed on the idea of exploration through experimentation. Our shared love for leftfield and esoteric guided us through 3 closed group experiments in the past that culminated in our prior compilations.

With the release of this VA, we are transitioning into a left-field label with the vision of building an ecosystem that nurtures leftfield artists and showcases unconventional art.

- Perceptions I

'Perceptions I' journeys across different realms from drum and bass to broken beats through glitch-hop while continually inhabiting a progressive space that breathes novelty and inventiveness. Each composition feels alive, supple, and evolving.

We invite the listeners for a deep dive into the VA to unravel the ineffable and experience the raw emotions firsthand.

Alongside artists from within Safar, 'Perceptions I' includes notable artists from the Indian underground, from the likes of I7HVN, Watashi, Rafiki, Audio Units, Flux Vortex, and Shantam. We hope to carve our sweet niche with them in the Indian underground.

"One night in 2008, Lucija had a dream of a work entitled "tiha povest involucije" (The Quiet History of Involution). “Involution” is a metaphor for the ever-entangling depth of our situation – the world falls apart then re-organizes itself with unexpected and sometimes distressing connections. Greater effort is demanded for our “productivity” and our reward is diminishing returns. Enough is enough.
INVOLUCIJA is envisioned as a noise abrasive enough to resonate with the ever-increasing discomfort from which we try to dissociate. We call this euphoric deprogramming."
