sitting on the front porch, trying to fight back the tears
it's been too many cigarettes too many lonely nights and beers
all I need is a hug right now, but all I got is a buzz 
and I was just waiting on the Land of Nothing, never was

now the cars and clouds and years they pass me by 
I'm on the back side of thirty now, and I don't know why 
but looking back now maybe I think it was because
