HYPERBUBBLE - Drastic Cinematic track 2: Midnight Cruiser

I am a label owner, producer, and recording artist based in Springfield, Illinois. My work includes a variety of projects, including Journeys Into Sound, Paisley Babylon, Texas Turntable Massacre, Binary Partners, and Fire Brigade. 

Theremin. Moog. Sir Alec "Obi-Wan Kenobi" Guinness talks baby eating. A horribly out-of-context Rev. Jimmy Swaggart shrieks about sex and bondage. Creepy subterranean voices whispering in your ear. The acid-less flashback. Bargain bin vinyl and thrift store LPs abused beyond what is permitted by law. This is the experience you get courtesy of the evil-minded Texas Turntable Massacre album "Donner Party Hungry" and other releases by Texas Turntable Massacre.

TTM, and other Journeys Into Sound projects, features vinyl manipulations and Plunderphonics-style re-purposed audio, plus original music by Joe Wallace using Theremin and vintage analog synths along with other toys, plus extensive use of found sound, location recordings and field recordings done specifically for the album.

Wallace also relies heavily on turntables, thrift store and dollar bin vinyl records that have been mashed up, mutilated, used and abused for purposes of satire, reporting and political commentary as described in the U.S. Copyright Office Fair Use guidelines.

This music incorporates a wide range of re-purposed recorded material--twisted, narrow-minded, bigoted, naughty, pornographic, educational and instructional vinyl records to achieve it's smirking, fourteen-year-old-boy humor ends. Though in some (rare) cases these recordings can actually be a bit touching in spite of the adolescent snickering about "boners" and being "really naked".

This project is based in Springfield, Illinois, the land of wicked delights.
