Cynnamon started DJing in early 2022 but has already gained a lot of attention by experimenting with different styles. Mixing elements of slapping Gabber and Hardcore, high-energy breaks, and bouncy remixes of long-forgotten favourites. The German-raised Iraqi artist established herself quickly in the Copenhagen club scene, where she gained a residency at Fragment Radio. In early 2023 she will start a new event series called ‘Hulter Til Bulter’ (meaning: Helter Skelter) at the one and only local techno club Den Anden Side in Copenhagen. The goal is to create a hard but playful, dynamic, versatile, and international space, which also reflects the approach of her labour. In this mix she picked the best parts of various tracks to encapsulate them into each other, creating a metamorphosis of old and new, melodic, and crude. Enjoy <3

Matschi is 21 years old and comes from a village near Berlin. At the age of 12, she first got a small glimpse into the tekk scene and enjoyed listening to some tracks. Later on, the illegal raves in nearby bunkers began. In February 2022, friends introduced her to the setup at Pirate Studio Berlin and told her she should start playing. At that time, she didn’t know anything yet. After a few practice sessions, she started to enjoy turning the knobs and has been teaching herself ever since. Along the way, she discovered Makina, Gabber, and Industrial Hardcore for herself.

On the side, she enjoys experimenting with new genres, including Powerstomp, Crossbreed, Raggatek, Hardtek, and Frenchcore.

So far, she has played at Gabber Industries Berlin, Hakke Berlin, Pfandidos, Passiv Aggressiv, Onyx, Silikon, Lowkey Stars, and BerlinPoisonedMe in Berlin, as well as several times in Cottbus.

Producing is her next goal—she has already released a few early attempts on her SoundCloud.
