In his debut release on vibe.digital Recordings, Gladkill strikes the listeners heart in his ‘Cold Comfort’ EP, made for the veteran bass music connoisseur and newcomer alike.

‘Words Inside’ is a heartfelt ballad, setting the tone for the emotional direction of the release. The title track, ‘Cold Comfort,’ maintains the emotional edge and brings the listener into a new depth, both icy and sanguine, while ‘The Way You Like’ is a well built, purple bass inspired banger, suited for nightclubs worldwide. ‘Waterways’ brings it back to Gladkill’s roots and what made him the west coast bass aficionado in the first place, with gorgeous soundscapes in the intro and proper, danceable bass stabs at the drop, and ‘Fragile’ rounds us out with a perfect, vibey set finisher which completes the message for the EP, hitting the balance between attentive poignancy, and energetic brawn.

Recreation of my set from Symmetry Festival 2024.  I crafted this set with the intention of bringing back songs from the OG wave era for the heads in the crowd as well as new fans who will never hear these songs otherwise and mixed those with fresher vibes from the scene (while trying to not play music from the many other wave artists at the festival) Also intentionally left out music from the many other wave artists playing the festival. 

Each of these songs carry meaning from my original inspiration to do the work of @vibe-digital

West London Empath is the first EP from West London based artist Skit in over 3 years. In this time he has been involved in various compilations with labels such as Wavemob and Terrorhythm and dropped various singles but never dropped a full project.

This EP is a reflection of the struggles this artist has faced over the last 3 years such as severe anxiety disorder, depression, overcoming multiple addictions and building himself up again from the ground up.

The EP serves as an escape from the harsh realities of life, at least for the 14 minutes it lasts. The sound of this record takes influence from ambient, wave, trap and UK underground music.
