While the UK DJ/producer Jake is fairly new here, the EP features remixes from two renowned artists who are no strangers to the scene. 
‘Tech House’ originator - Terry Francis (Wiggle, Swag Records, Eukahouse) who needs little introduction, steps up and provides a solid chunky 9 minute rerub of the already dope original “Escalateher”. Adding twisted vocals from the illusive “Hive71”. Turning the track into something quite special. We would expect nothing less from the Fabric Resident DJ!

A more modern, yet quick rising producer - Joe Pompeo (SOUP, Cajual Records) provides the second remix to this body of work. Having collaborated with some of the worlds fastest growing names such as; Solardo, Sonny Fodera & Derrick Carter. He really shows why he is a force that is becoming more & more prevalent amongst the club scene in the U.S

Ray Okpara - Germany

Ray Okpara rose to prominence in 2008, when music journalists were hot on the sounds being transmitted from Frankfurt and Mannheim in Germany. Almost a decade later, Okpara is now known for his versatility when it comes to his productions and DJ sets. It’s a versatility that can only be properly understood and appreciated when you see Ray doing his thing live, or listening to his impressive back catalogue with releases spanning Ama Recordings, Oslo Records and Mobilee Records plus many, many more.
Thanks to his Nigerian roots, Okpara is a producer people look to for deliciously deep, percussive drum tracks. Lomidhigh Lmtd, Drumpoet Community and Area Remote were the labels that initially recognised Ray’s star potential when it came to making beats. With friends running Oslo Records, Deep Vibes, Cecille and 8-Bit imprints, Okpara was definitely in good company as a talented, budding producer. Based in Berlin from 2005 to 2009, Ray was able to establish himself as an artist to keep tabs on for the foreseeable future.
2010 saw Ray launch his own Ama Recordings. Taking inspiration from his middle name Amaefule, which literally translates as “your name will never get lost”, the label is a place where total creative freedom reigns. Since its inception, Ama Recordings has released forward-thinking dance music from artists like Ema Remedi, Sascha Dive and Nick Curly. Today, the label continues to bring new artists forward as and when Ray discovers them on his musical travels.The next chapter of Okpara’s accomplished career came in 2012, when he became part of the Mobilee Records crew. It wasn’t long before Ray proved himself to be a vital part of Anja Schneider’s label following several superb releases. Notable material from that time include Ray’s ‘Good Times’ album, the ‘Back To Back Volume 8’ compilation, the ‘Sugar Feel’ EP and the ‘Rao de Rani’ EP.
Now residing in Mannheim, Okpara has seen his It’s Ours party series grow from strength to strength, with events held in both London and Mannheim features the likes of Nekes, Okain, Shane Watcha and Marko Nastic. Over the last few years, Ray has become obsessed with playing the guitar, which keeps the musicality at the forefront of his day to day.

It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome Jake Beautyman to the Superfreq roster for his debut EP on the label.
We kick off with Slime Time, which unsurprisingly is utter filth. Solid Tech drums laden with the funkiest percussion set a bed for a gnarly bassline, twisted synths & eerie vocal samples making for a peak time rave tool that will be sending discerning dancefloors bat shit crazy.
Superfreq partner David Scuba comes out swinging with his sick remix. A deeply pulsating bottom end carries excellently crafted dark atmospheric pads, acidic analogue sequences & dope percussive synth hits demonstrating his clear intent to make ravers climb the walls.
Last up comes The Golden Tree. This is modern Acid House at its very best. Deeply groovy with a solid bassline & haunting pads, it’s the 303s & tripped out synths that shine on this undeniably infectious Acid masterpiece proving that Jake is a huge star in the making.

Celebrating his 25th year as a producer and DJ, London's Silverlining announces his first-ever double-vinyl artist project, 'Simulacra', a collection of emotive yet powerful body music fresh from his South London studio. Known for his diverse and bassline-driven grooves, this work sees him straddle between the stripped-back house and techno that we have come to adore on his acclaimed Silverlining Dubs series, with eclectic forays into territories of electronic musicality unexplored by him until now. Adopting a similar analogue workflow and kit-list to that used for his 1990s productions, the collection retains his trademark sonic brilliance, whilst demonstrating, once again, that his ideas are far from running out.
