Fantastic analog ambient work.... reminds me in parts of Rival Consoles :)

Today we are excited to premiere the first single '"At Least It Was For Me" from @maramaramusic's forthcoming album set to release on October 15th via @musiccompanyco.

Equal parts hypnotic and haunting, “At Least It Was For Me" lingers in the liminal sonic spaces between discordant bells, brooding pads and plump field recordings. It is a perfect introduction to the rest of the album 'The Formation of a Cloud' in its establishment of the harmonious tug of war between the organic and electronic that effortlessly becomes a motif in the album while also paying homage to the short-film of the same title for which this sonic body was created. 

Keenly, the collection of works by Mara were written for the film directed by Jenn Tran, which, in revisiting a distant childhood memory, navigate a nostalgic journey of rediscovery. The compositions of which “At Least It Was For Me” is the first springboard off this visual storyboard while breathing new life through sound.

We are SO excited to premiere @djrbii's track "Check It" taken from @phenomenarecords debut compilation PHENOMENAL Vol. 1, out on all platforms tomorrow, October 1st. 

DJ, musician, producer and @fluxxclub co-founder RBI has blown us away with this high energy number which booms with dnb programming, and a textured angry synth guiding the way forward to rebellion. RBI says on the release:

"I wrote this track craving that feeling of being on the dance floor pressed up against bodies, sharing a collective experience, dancing into the night, releasing the angst of being so isolated for so long".

STACY.O - also known as half of the band Hyper Opal - is a French-Venezuelan multi-instrumentalist producer based in Berlin. For his new project, he collaborates with Berlin-based performer and vocalist Caemilion.

From electronica to techno, this duo draws its inspiration from their different horizons.

STACY.O's electro / broken beat meets Caemilion's deep and hypnotic voice influenced by dark wave. Caemilion's lyrics and improvised poems may remind one of Agar Agar or Boy Harsher.

This combination of voice and live music brings a stage energy of its own. The subtlety of their performance takes you by the hand with slow and percussive sounds, ending in a jungle and techno experience between dance and introspection.

The street outside felt eerily quiet, an unfamiliar occurrence in this central part of town. Where families normally dined on alfresco tables and friends huddled together chain-smoking cigarettes, there was nothing, nobody, not even one straggler finding their way home. She watched from her window with unease, she'd got used to the howling laughter and drunken chatter that preceded sundown, it made her feel safe and happy. Without it there was only fear. 

Comprised of Nordpath co-founders, V4NT4BL4CK Marie Hoffman and Tidiane Cacique of Leave Things, Hyper Opal is a collaborative project that explores the realms of post-rock and electronic pop. Following their debut EP BLACK MILK last year, they deliver their debut album A Light Speed for Swiss imprint Blizzard Audio Club. Matching Hoffman's moody vocals with Cacique's eerie rhythms, over the LP's seven tracks the pair seek to explore "a dialog between the human-made messiness that spreads out and the will to be naive, playful, and having no script."

Back on  Threads Radio finally!  For today's show i have special guest from Porto Alegre, producer & dj KIKA ! What we have in common is that both of us started on bass music, so this show is dedicated to this kind of sound! Electronica, UK Bass, Dubstep and all that stuff. In the first hour you can hear lot of fresh tunes, for example one track from Om Unit 's new album, superb dreamy electronica by my very good man Feiertag, killer electro by Louisahhh and more! In the second one you can hear eclectic selection by KIKA! 

KIKA is DJ and co-producer of Arruaça, co-founder of label @gomarec and a resident at BASE PoA, music collectives from Porto Alegre, Brazil. Her research as a DJ started on bass, but it was on techno that she found her soul. Also crossing a new way with house music, Kika has a heavy and pulsating style, intersecting with UK beats, garage, industrial, breaks, bass, electro, trance and acid.

HYPER OPAL is a Berlin based multinational post-rock, electronica pop-hybrid comprised of Marie Hoffmann (V4NT4BL4CK) and Tidiane Cacique (@Leave-Things) co-creators of @NordPath records. 

Combining the unique elements of their native lands (Germany and France) , the duo's sound is focused on the remains of humanity as seen through a technological line of sight, that is in part fueled by the progressive environment of Berlin. The moody vocals of Marie Hoffmann come to the listener as if her spirit were trapped inside the water, her soul wandering the woodlands. This combined with the passionate, sometimes rebellious, haunted rhythms of Tidiane creates a style of music some refer to as empathy driven "Tech Noir".
