No Loss is a sort of trance prayer, in which feelings of acceptance, change and hope are added to the psychedelic imagery evoked by the music with the help of vocals.

Music and Psychedelia become tools capable of deepening and investigating the deepest aspects of life and then re-emerging with a new gaze, both on the world and within oneself.

We've been honored to welcome Sordid Sound System's own Stuart Evans to rework 'No Loss'. Stellar producer with releases on labels such as Optimo Music, Hoga Nord, Invisible Inc or Playground Records, he infused his trademark sound collisions of motorik dub and psychedelic dungeon disco.

Schrödinger’s Box is proud to unveil the latest EP from Catalonia’s own Adrian Marth (SXDNS188), a standout name in the dark side of the electronic music scene. Known for his analogue-driven sounds and dance-inducing productions, Marth brings a fresh perspective to the label with a collection of five tracks – four blood-thirsty originals and a fangy remix by Legowelt – that explore the nuanced interplay between light and dark, rhythm and melody. Each track on “Labyrinth Mind”, soon available on digital and vinyl formats, is a testament to Adrian’s mastery, drawing listeners into a world where the past and future collide in a dazzling display of sonic ingenuity.

One of the standout moments of the EP is "Beverly Hills," a track that exudes a sense of opulent nostalgia. The melodies loom with a majestic presence, intertwining with retro elements to paint a picture of 1980s grandeur. It's an operatic homage to a bygone but not forgotten era, infused with a modern twist that makes it both timeless and contemporary. [Emotional] Especial returns to the music of Peter Reilly aka Persian, with a second EP
diving into his extensive catalogue to celebrate this cult artist and evaluate his recent decision to retire from music production.

For over 20 years Reilly has been an exemplary electronic producer, a producer’s producer, a DJs producer, releasing over 50 EPs that crossed genres, from Breaks to Digidub, Electro to Garage, House to Jungle and on and on.

If this release is to act as an epitaph, then its exploration of Reilly’s wonderful programming, sampling and understanding of emotions is laid bare. Spread across a series of self-released edits hidden within limited run EPs, Questions appeared as something akin to beats interludes, across numerous releases over the last 10 years.

Bringing the best versions together on one EP, Questions 1, 2, 5, 3 and 7 have been re-edited, extended and sequenced into a continuous mix especially for this finale. Starting with the ambient breaks of Questions 1, this is a Balearic beginning where bubbling acid meets haunting refrain, before segueing effortlessly in to the sunrise breaks of Questions 2. A nod to Carl Craig’s classic Incognito remix, the solo keys add a touch of jazz to a glide by shooting melody.

Side 2 rises. Question 5 heralds a half stepper Dub bassline riding the Amen breaks, the now familiar Brando sample, a wormhole in your brain that ties the EP together, joining the dots as strings float skywards, allowing Questions 3 break it all back down. Herbie Handcock inspired Funk Boogie beat, shouts out to his own Existence To Resistance label, leads to the pure ambient closing of Questions 7. A showcase again of Persian’s multi-genre dexterity and maybe, just maybe brings an influential music chapter to a close.

It's better if you listen to the complete EP by yourself instead of us telling you what every track sounds like. However, we can tell you that his EP is full of Electro & Psychedelia in a very Russian way.
