*for my song challenge friends below*

Hey folks. 
I only spent a few minutes in Musescore; can't read music so I just randomly wrote in notes on random instruments then sampled. 

Was listening to Rick Rubin's new book, and he suggested a way to write lyrics where you beat a pillow for 5 minutes non stop and then write down the first things that come to mind. I did that once and wrote what became the, uh, wholesome lyrics, then I did it again and recorded it. 

By the end of the process I was beating up a pillow at full force for a combined total of 12 minutes and I am still sore from doing it days later. The outro to this is a sliced and stacked up take of me punching the poor (thankfully memory foam) pillow until I was laughing hysterically. 

For the sung lyrics I had a friend call me and read a random line from a random book of hers. It vaguely fit what I *think* the theme is. 

The end result is a confused, id driven weirdo piece. Cathartic as hell to make, but not quite enjoyable to listen to. Most fun I've had in a decade.

Weave Our Way Home - Sumika X Dante

My submission for Hugo Moroux and Ben Levin's January song challenge, and my first ever song made using Musescore 4. This month's challenge was to incorporate something made in Musescore. It was very fun and I learned a good bit in the process.

I essentially created 4 repetitions of the basic melody/chord structure using classical guitar, acoustic bass, tenor saxophone, and viola, chopped it up a bit and made it repeat more times, added effects, and threw a beat over it!
