Lazy After Midnight

Heya Soundclouds, alphyre here. I'm a professional time-waster and habitual procrastibator. I pound out poorly-mixed and unrefined 8-bar loops on Propellerhead's Figure whenever I'm procrastibating; most of which you may find, indiscriminately dumped, here on soundcloud. I have no experience with mixing or mastering or producing anything so, don't expect to be blown away. Still, if you enjoy anything, let me know.


Though being a true "Metalhead", I like to create electronic music!

 In 2011 I received an electric guitar as a christmas gift from my wife. When I began to learn how to play it, I discovered my love for making music. As my guitar skills are - due to a lack of time - still amateurish, I was very happy to discover the power of iOS Apps, because they provide me the opportunity to transform my ideas into music.

With KORG Gadget I found my weapon of choice.

I'm an amateur  musician, composer, producer and sound mangler. I don't so much write tunes or songs, more I assemble soundscapes that hopefully convey a sense of atmosphere befitting the title.  Hope you find something you can enjoy.

Music junky who loves Techno, Trance, Ambient, Electro, House, Dance, Progressive, Jazz, Fusion, Swing, Funk, Ska, Latin, Rock, Alternative, Classical, Chamber Music and just about any other genre you can imagine (but maybe not country or rap).   I'm not a proficient instrumentalist, but a budding composer who enjoys exploring new genres and sharing them with interested listeners.  Thanks for listening and stop back again soon as there'll be new music to discover by the time you come back.

Programmer by day, musician whenever I can squeeze it in. I write songs, play guitar and fancy myself a bit of a singer, but my voice isn't exactly my strong point. I have a ton of partially finished songs and fragments of songs, but writing lyrics is a chore for me, so I haven't quite gotten them fixed up the way they should be. So if you're a lyricist without a songwriter, feel free to hit me up. And if you can sing, that's even better. I'm also open to any other interesting potential collaborators out there. I'm currently doing a lot of electronic stuff because a) I love it and b) I don't have to write any of those pesky lyrics. But my deeper interest in music leans more towards the indie rock side of things. Arcade Fire, Built to Spill, Elliott Smith, that sort of thing. Although really, I like anything that's interesting or beautiful in some way.
