As he entered he cast his eyes around the room, taking in a mirage of flickering colours and luminous buttons. He had been travelling for what had felt like a lifetime through the dense and murky undergrowth in search of the mysterious cavern. Now as he sat perched upon the rubble he truly knew his purpose.

The walls were paved with silver and gold. The cave dimly illuminated by a thin hazy light - this would be his guide through the small hours to follow. Smoke billowed in the corner of the room, casting off a haze which was sweet and sticky to the senses.

One by one he flicked each switch, a throbbing current pulsed beneath the dense rocky structure as the frame of the cave echoed and rumbled into life. The walls began to shake beneath the strain of the sound, the noise echoing between wires, between tunnels and into the very core of the cave as the pressure increased. He was now one with the space and sound - connected by the very DNA of such a wild and wondrous place.

In the morning, as the sun rose in the distance, he would unearth himself. He’d return to reality and much as it pained him he would vanish. The noise of the night, the sound of the cave still playing in his mind.

Hiber-nation EP was Recorded at Siesta Delfauno, Buenos Aires, Argentina in December 2019. A place steeped in history and that has seen artists like Carl Craig , DJ Hell and Rob Acid grace its halls. Ara-u worked alongside engineer and member of Argentinian electronic band Klauss Pablo Gil, while getting lost in red wine and deep into the jam amongst a mix of analogue machines. Ara-u edited the resulting takes and put together the EP : Hiber-nation

Since appearing on the scene in 2018, 21 year old False Persona has been pushing aggressive, high energy electro and techno non-stop for the most part of 3 years.

Although a fresh face, the Bournemouth-based producer has been self taught music production and DJing since the age of 13, and after spending years learning the crafts of different styles of music under a multitude of aliases, his sound as an artist definitely serves as a hybrid of genres.

With tracks on labels such as International Chrome, Typeless, Dionysian Mysteries and more over the past couple of years, False Persona has a lot of exciting bits on the way to keep your eyes peeled for...

DJ Detox has been producing for a number of years and we're sure many of you guys are aware of what DJ Detox is all about! You lot may know him from releasing on some of the scenes most consistant labels such as FTP, Raiders and more. 

In 2020 DJ Detox released a EP on Leipzig label "R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings" where he put together 4 bass driven tracks showcasing his mastery of electro, techno & breaks. 

The mix he has concocted for us today is very different and refreshing, Detox has put together a real nice set for you guys this week. Delving into various styles and keeping the energy high throughout with seamless and lovely mixing.

'Be The Glitch' is a 140 BPM breakbeat journey that moves between soaring flute melodies, choral stabs, and a bass-driven drop. Opening with Marianne Williamson’s iconic Our Deepest Fear quote, the track frames resistance and disruption not as chaos, but as empowerment. Later, the flutes and choir return, softening the weight of the low end and carrying the track to its close; leaving listeners with both impact and reflection. In its final statement, it dares listeners to become the glitch in the system.
