Firm FH Favourites, Heart to Heart return to the fray with their 12th record to date, this one from the ever mysterious yet recently prolific, @Westcoast-Goddess who follows up on the highly revered 'Springtime Forever', released earlier this year on Sweden's tasteful house imprint Omena Records.

WG's production style manages to retain a level of playfullness while ensuring the floor is at the centre to the tracks aura. This entire EP utterly echo's that sentiment, each track flaunting enough saturation to warrent a full perscription of beta blockers, while maintaining an element of classic dance flavour. This Premiere features 'Life Review', a real umami cut, delivering salty undertones and sweet zings in a supremely balanced fashion. "Fresh off a run of vinyl releases supported by legends of the scene like Gerd Janson, Todd Edwards, Move D and DJ Sprinkles, Skylax Records are mighty proud to present Sweden’s Lukas Lyrestam for our 150th release.
“When 2 Bodies Become 1” treads a fine line between raucous deep-house, balearic blues and straight-up sexy music. The opener “Raw Loop” channels classic Pepe Braddock vibes while “Moving Day” sounds like it could’ve come from the sonic experiments of a certain 90s house producer who loves to play keyboards. Lukas is a musician and singer first, which really shows on the flip side of the record – something which Mano Le Tough & Jimpster were very happy to support on a recent release for Clouded House.“Strange Beast” marries off-kilter chorus-kissed guitar riffs with a driving four-to-the floor arrangement while “2 Bodies Become 1” takes a step further away from house music to combine vintage new-order textures and shuffling deep-house. Lukas also builds digital synthesizers in his spare time, something which must’ve come in handy for “Bike Ride With U” an italo-banger closing out the record and sporting a very rubbery bassline. We are super happy to add yet another great house 12-inch to our catalogue and remember, stay underground, it pays!"

After a debut 12" late 2019 on the London based imprint Delusions Of Grandeur, Larry Quest comes back for a third release on Log Records. 'Be:Quest' is a single with two versions bouncing off each other celebrating the Rave subculture going back and forth between the US and Europe over the past decades.

The 'Gateway Mix' is tinted with the breathing character of the mid 1980s Chicago Acid House and conveys a serious punch with its strong Jacking bass line topped up with hazy pads and keyboards. Shake the core of the track with a 2-Step tweak on the beat with warped and throbbing sounds and you get the 'Garage Mix' bearing the absorbing flavours of the 1990s London genre binding late hours.

Deep club rhythms, heavily doused with tonal manipulation. Long, meandering grooves and monstrous kick drums.

The first in our live series comes from our resident techno knob fondlers, Rohli. Just under an hour of deep, driving club music from the toon based duo recorded over the summer at Kaneda HQ. Featuring all new material we prepared for our performance at Northern Electric Festival over the summer, this was the culmination of one of the jams.

"Over the course of the session, we explore the world of improvisation within live electronic performance using boutique hardware, samplers and controllers, creating serendipitous moments of cohesion amongst a sporadically chaotic performance. A steady underlying structure lays the foundation, allowing us to create sounds and sequences on the fly. Arpeggios and manipulations weave from section to section, morphing effortlessly into one another, producing an intense, mesmeric mutation with a textured soundscape that is constantly modulating.

As we delve further into the idea of live performance and synthesis, this is far more colourful and melodic than anything we've every produced previously. nevertheless sticking to our mantra of pounding, relentless techno."
