London based collective Natural Selection mark 10 years since their inception with the launch of their label, kicking things off with this exquisitely curated 23-track VA compilation. NS001 brings together some of the most respected names in techno and electro, including The Advent, Jeroen Search, Kamikaze Space Programme, Somatic Responses, Versalife aka Conforce, Annie Hall, Operator, DJ Skull & more. Every artist on the compilation has played an important role, or had a connection, in one way or another, to the label / collective over their colossal 10 year journey.

Natural Selection are well known for bridging the heavier spectrum of techno, electro and acid sounds with new, experimental style and form. You can always expect the most cutting-edge, hard-hitting, underground electronics at Natural Selection events, which have gained notoriety for daring lineups and extreme diversity in sound. It’s clear to see that this ethos remains uncompromised for their logical extension into a record label.

PREMIERE: Cygnus - Delta Dynamiks (Natural Selection)

Mix #083 in the series is a really  special one for us. We met Jeff in Tisno back in 2017 at Dekmantel Selectors and instantly hit it off. Jeff's pure and brilliant  energy has been translated  into his DJ sets and we're super excited to see him start his journey behind the decks.

Jeff Revolución is a Rotterdam based DJ that has been passionate about music for as long as he can remember. His Peruvian roots have been a solid foundation and source of inspiration. Add to that over a decade of clubbing, soaking everything up like a sponge along the way. He does not like to think in genres, nor stick to one, and his selections reflect that free spirit as he combines a wide range of music he is into.


Jeff has recently  featured on Operator Radio on his new show called Late Horizon, referring to a phase in South American history right before the Spanish conquest, during the rule of the Incas. 

"I’m half Dutch half Peruvian, born and bred in and around Rotterdam, and as long as I can remember I have been inspired by my Peruvian roots and culture, as well as the wonderful world of electronic music/clubbing I have been diving in for over a decade now.

Historians use the name Horizon to point out a phase of cultural stability and political unity. Adding Late to it indicates that a drastic change is coming. With my show I want to capture that energy and channel my inspirations into it. A horizon is the space where two worlds meet, the earth and the sky, and in my show it’s the place where cultures collide and merge, which has also been my life growing up with two cultures.

I want to create my own world by making an eclectic mix of music, highlighting non-Western folk or traditional music, mixing it with more electronic outfits that try to mix both types of music, but also with loads of other stuff I’m into that originated in the West, but have their roots in other places in the world. This full circle makes us all connected in a way, and I want to spread that message of love and unity."


Free-state venue Weelde, located on the outskirts of Rotterdam, has been a warm nest for local talent, and so it has been for Jeff Revolución. Being able to play there regularly with complete freedom, during different time slots, has been a great way to further develop his style and showcase the depth of his record bag.
