Premiering next on Nerang Recordings is Adrenaline Replenishment by WakeUpNeo. The EP features four tracks that feature glitchy cosmic highs and bass rumbling lows.

The EP opens with “Shoot Your Shot” an electro belter that features WakeUpNeos signature skippy drums and vocal chops reminiscent of artists such as Jensen Interceptor, Mutant Joe among other artists working in the electro sphere.

“Coast2Coast” is a more introspective fare with the use of lofty strings and synth patches akin to the best classic techno of the 90’s and beyond. Coast2Coast is perfect for sunrise and twilight hours of the party.

“MetroSports” turns up the bpm and intensity featuring an endlessly groovy acid bassline and a 4/4 techno kick pattern that just won’t quit. The track effortless blends WakeUpNeos hard dance stylings with cyber inspired synth patches, designed for peak time.

The EP ends with a staple, the bootleg. Britney gets the WakeUpNeo treatment on “In The Club”. Just like this name, the track is made for club dance floors, combining house and techno with WakeUpNeos unique sonic experimentation

Today we premiere a grime influenced house track from Irish producer Son Orbis. The young producer channels deep and wonky minimal vibes on ‘Blem’ and intertwines grime vocals to great effect.

Taking inspiration from 90s trance and early 00’s Dubstep & Breakbeat, Dublin DJ/Producer Jack Fleming aka Son Orbis has been a regular within the cities nightclubs, stemming from his earliest days as a resident at Toast & Paradox.

With releases on Bristol’s Eton Messy Records & Edinburgh’s Milkit Sounds, Jack’s music has seen support come from the likes of Pete Tong, Joris Voorn, Brame & Hamo to name a few.

What you hear is really all you need to know. And what you’ll hear from Son Orbis’ sets and music productions are seamlessly blended bass-heavy frequencies and futuristic percussion driven beats.

Son Orbis provides a deep and off-kilter house cut that is simply made for the dance-floor on ‘Blem’. The track is soaked in classic minimal vibes, but the budding producer knit’s in grimey influences with commanding vocals to great effect. This is fantastic DJ tool for those who like their house with a touch of UK influence.

Up first is L&F, offering us some bass laden UKG badness, followed by Cabale with a tasty slice of piano and pad infused 2-step. Awlies comes through on a sublime and magical breakbeat tip, while Helter lands some twisted yet delightful breaks and bass business. Neathway & Alter hit the halfway mark of the compilation: a tidy piece of jungle action reminiscent of the genres 90s heyday. Up next is Withheld producing a soulful yet energetic drum and bass stunner, followed by Charleeps with a transcendent and acidy yet melancholic electro-breakbeat number. Aevasyon delivers some gorgeous, retro-tinged breakbeat vibes and Talihatta brings the energy down with some clever and subtle downtempo. "Founded in 2021, Dark Heaven is a Chicago based event company and collective focused on curating immersive experiences with underground electronic artists, installation/visual artists, and queer performance artists. It's a cosmic liftoff with the mind warping sonic sounds of 'Planet Destroy'. Radioactive Man's funk fueled remix has an infectious 303 bassline that takes the listener on a jackin 'journey. On the flip side 'Exit Now' moves into driving hypnotic synths with sizzling percussion throughout. 'No Future' dips the dancefloor into a twisting wormhole of intergalactic grooves. Acid Break is a renaissance tribute to the break beat. A rare example that does not rely on the state of the music industry and flows free of social burdens.

From sweet merging acid basslines and bright pads from “Acid Break” passing through Detroit’s deep bass, vocal samples and orchestral arrangements from “Get Down” to the nostalgic frenzyed break-beat “por bulerias” from “Gypsy drummer”. Culminating a Dub “Acid Break remix” that makes you want roll up a tree.

The result is a collection of tracks that effortlessly blend jazzy melodies, broken beats and uplifting vibes.
