With foundations defined by artistic freedom and opportunity, the label represents a mutual appreciation for the digital and physical realms, with a debut VA presented on two slabs of glorious wax.

Our first VA installment opens with label co-founder ADMINISTRATOR’s erratic and brooding synth composition, ‘VER5e+01’. LSS kicks it up a gear with the soothing sensory zapper ‘Perch’. The B-side flips to Texas-based Decoder with the delirious hypnotic stomper, ‘Giggling’, followed by Lindsey Herbert’s dancefloor weapon straight out of L.A., ’Control’.

Co-founder Connor Wall opens the C-side with the rich and unrelenting grooves of ‘Setback’. Emerging Naarm sensation, Neo, pushes the pedal down with the face-melting ‘Suppressed Actions’. All followed by Lask’s no-nonsense, dimension transporting acidic roller ‘Deepbush’. Flip the record and flip out to Arthur Robert's thrilling 'Kepler 452b', closed out by Sweden-based Franz Jager’s lush techno heater ‘Kantine’, a superior rush of rhythm with flourishes of funk.

Premiere: Kerrie - Ode To The D

Tresor Records are excited to announce the new EP from machine techno luminary Lady Starlight aka Colleen Martin. Capricorn Rising comprises five razor-sharp cuts from the acclaimed producer, DJ, and Surgeon co-conspirator whose laser-focused work ethic reflects the EP's astrological namesake. 

Capricorn Rising is anchored by the record's most propulsive, trance-inducing cut, "Mass;" an off-kilter conversation between chattering birds and a breathing sample that makes for an otherworldly melody. "I wanted to create a feeling rather than a sound," explains Martin of the catalyst for the record. 

Martin describes the recording of Capricorn Rising as a cathartic process. "I thought of myself as fearless since I have always rejected societal norms and I'm very comfortable expressing ideas," she offers. "However, I realised I actually had a lot of fear when expressing anything emotional." 

The EP is the outcome of shaking off that fear. Using her feelings as a guide, Martin creates a space somewhere between euphoria, dissociation, and wonder. "This is where I hope to take the listener," she says. 

This emotional liberation peaks on "Reinforce," which sidesteps towards extraterrestrial acid and swirling, cosmic pads that reach for a new dimension. Meanwhile, "Chapter 23" is an industrial-dipped roller that creaks with eerie atmospherics before erupting into a meteor shower of kicks. This percussive workout continues on "Prism," which makes a plea for bodily oblivion. 

Martin often closes out her live sets with the EP's euphoric title track; a seamless, starry-eyed slammer that encapsulates the headiness of the Lady Starlight universe. Oiled and limbered for the dancefloor, these are dynamic, teflon-tough techno tracks that deftly align with Martin's virtuosic hardware performances.

„The Flying Dagger“ is Cressida’s first release on Shaw Cuts, which deals with themes of greed, revenge, honor, chivalry and the internal struggle between good and evil that exists within all of us.
Yu Ying happens upon the scene of an atrocity and double murder. 
She outrageously kills the perpetrator, who is the son of the infamous Green Dragon Clan boss Jiao Lei. 
The broken rhythm and heavy hitting drums of „Cat’s Claw“ shine a light on the shocking act of violence.
Upon learning the surprising news, Jiao Lei proclaims war on her and attacks Yu Ying’s father Yu Yuan who manages to escape with his children although he gets severely injured. 
The pounding drums of „Radiate“ and its thrilling ambiance boosts up the family’s energy and keeps everybody safe.
The pursuit is on and Jian Lei is hell-bent on killing them all, preferentially with his throwing knifes. However, he is thwarted in his plans by the emergence of the mysterious stranger Yang Qing whose ability to throw projectiles rivals that of Jiao Lei.
„Medusa“ and its percussive lunacy paired with unexpected groove twists guide our hero through times of many tough challenges and evil encounters.
Chief Jiao tries to tempt Yang Qing with money to join his Green Dragon Clan, but our hero can’t be bought. 
With the help of the furious „Do I Stay“ and its steamroll drum pattern, pushing bassline and raw atmosphere, he comes to the rescue of several victims of the Green Dragon Clan instead.
Yang Qing uses his martial proficiency to fight on the side of society, but is he strong enough for the rousing finale? 
The bass-heavy vibe of „Let the Devil In“ and its swirling vocal cuts blended with funky breaks and warm pads, send out one more energy before everything is heated up to the max.

Fireground's Love Letter EP on the legendary techno label Tresor delivers a dynamic journey through the realms of early 90s techno and house fusion. On Side-1, 'The Element' ignites the dancefloor with its big, rave-inspired sounds and UK rave influences, while 'Riva' seamlessly blends high-energy house and techno, punctuated by catchy melodic moments. On Side-2, 'Love Letter' takes the listener on a deeper voyage with its mid-90s warehouse vibe, exuding a late-night atmosphere with subtle disco undertones.
