The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Vera Spektor. Active since the mid 2000s, he has released material on seminal underground labels like Third Type Tapes, Ekar and Stripe999. He now returns with a new EP, La Guerra Delle Forme, on Pressured Speech Productions. In the spirit of the year that was, Spektor offers a look at the concrete settings left empty by modern life. Heavy industrial experiments gives way to surges of electronic force as the release moves through an array of blackened atmospheres and captures the struggles of our time. Today we premiere the excellent Golden Bludgeon.

The Brvtaist is pleased to premiere a new track from L-Shape. Formed in the UK in 2016, L-Shape is the experimental electronic project. of David Hartmann who describes his sonic signature as Violent Sound / Beautiful Noise. L-Shape sculpts vast walls of sound that crash and fracture into caustic glitches, textures and rapid-fire assaults of polyrhythmic percussion. The sonic palette is expansive, transcendent, isolationist, ecstatic and utterly devastating in its savage beauty, a soundtrack for the end of the world.

Swarm is the project’s second release and comes on London’s Khemia Records. The result is a powerful, fully immersive offering which will leave you unraveling the layers even after multiple listens. Today we premiere the title track, “Swarm”, which is an excellent opener to the EP and quickly plunges us into the depths of sound, mood and atmosphere that is difficult to leave once entering.

Premiere: OPERANT - Information Ghettos [Dissonanze Recordings]

France based producer Mathis Kolkoz (Founder of Cold-Wave band Blind Delon) and singer Paul Brousse (member of Hardcore and Metal bands, Influence Néfaste, Liquid Flesh & Epitaphe) present to you their new project Pudeur on Area Z. “Pudeur”, meaning “delicacy” in French , also synonym for “gentleness” is a perfect incarnation of what this project is not about. The duo draws its influences from Punk-EBM and Black Metal and deliver to the audience a genre which Mathis likes to describe as Black Body Music.

The EP kicks off with its first track “My Mortal Cold” which is very representative of the spirit behind their output. The speed varying from 160 to 175 beats per minute throughout the EP creates a fresh rendering of EBM in a raw, staggering and tenacious manner.

Along with this ep will be a compilation of 4 remixes, which will be rather more dancefloor oriented, by members of the collective and other artists such as: Imperial Black Unit, The Undertakers Tapes in collaboration with Incendie, Chrome Corpse who previously released on Area Z and finally Mind/Matter.

OBSCUUR is proud to welcome back the excellent Liza Aikin, after her stellar contribution to the “Withered Tales” album. Liza returns with her own release, a take on industrial techno named “Infirm Past”.
Her signature brand of techno spans over two original tracks, a force of sound cemented by how well it blends with the remix efforts of Swarm Intelligence and VSK. This is an EP covering all grounds, from immersive techno to harder-edge dance floor percussion.
First up is “Hospital Bed”, club ready and on the harder end of the scale, it delivers increasingly frustrating emotions through percussion packed with field recordings literally from the mechanisms within hospital machines. Swarm Intelligence adds the remix favour, with a growling bassline and broken techno cuts.
“Emmaus” follows up, with a sophisticated palette of layered pounding rhythms. Glued together with a hypnotically morphing melody, VSK steps up to the plate for the remix, plastering his well-known sound all over and slowing the drums to achieve a pure meditative hallucination.
Liza Aikin consistently strives to push her sound in new directions, the known mixing with the unknown, making this EP a rewarding listening experience both at the club and at home.
