BLNDFLD is part of a new wave of artists giving deep techno a more textured, introspective edge. Hailing from Tbilisi and co-running Spira Records, he’s been quietly building a reputation through releases on labels like Bahn, Circular Limited, and Indefinite Pitch. His sound is patient and immersive, built on subtle shifts, rich atmospheres, and grooves that pull you in rather than push. Whether he’s behind the decks at Bassiani or Laut in Barcelona, there’s a consistent thread: a focus on flow, mood, and storytelling that runs deeper than just the tracklist.

His mix for "Delayed with…" fits that ethos perfectly. It’s smooth, layered, and full of movement, balancing broken tribal rhythms with dubby textures and just enough melody to keep things bright. Monochrome presents, 𝖕𝖗𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖒𝖕𝖘 𝓥 : Marie Pravda, Ankali.

This spring, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
When Marie Pravda settles into a DJ booth she’s there to spark some chemistry with those willing to embrace it. While she is perfectly capable
of generating similar energy in her recordings for the online world, it’s the endless push & pull with the physical crowd that charges her selection and mixing. Developing into an avid digger during long shifts in gloomy basements and online, the Prague-based DJ and DIY promoter took the Czech scene by storm with her savage take on a growing range of club music – be it with selections from her trippy or dance folders.
In 2020 she joined the resident collective of Ankali & Planeta Za where she runs her regular Planeta Pravda club series. Marie has contributed episodes to numerous online radios and mix series for club or non-club outlets. She recorded mixes for Knekelhuis, hereandthere, Galactic Funk, and appeared on online broadcasts of NTS, Hör, Mutant, Kiosk, Operator and many more.
In 2021-2023 she was a member of the artist roster of Gravity Network, an international initiative for club cultureexchange in Europe and beyond.

For the 70th entry in our series, we welcome Space Drum Meditation, a duo renowned for their immersive sound journeys that blur the line between music and ritual. 

This set continues our exploration of sound, guided by rhythms and textures rooted in tradition. Their music takes inspiration from spiritual culture and the natural world: Ritualistic percussions, a breeze, and the call of animals, all woven into an experience that connects body and mind.

Embodiment 070 - Space Drum Meditation

Recorded during the early hours of Sunday morning at Garage Noord at the Omen Wapta Weekender, this live set from Formant Value captures the essence of a weekend that transcended the club experience—where sound, space, and shared energy merged into something truly transformative.

Opening in slow motion, the set unfolds with a deep, psychedelic ambient current—echoes, pulses, and dub textures forming a wide sonic horizon. What follows is a steady, organic rise into tribal techno rhythms and hi-tech structures, maintaining a sense of spaciousness even at its most kinetic.

It’s a set that mirrors the architecture of the night itself: meditative, then elevating, then dissolving again. There are no sharp corners—just flow. Time felt suspended. Movement turned internal. And in the foggy warmth of the dancefloor, listeners were gently guided through a collective dreamspace.

Formant Value is known for his unique & sophisticated sound, that defies easy categorisation whilst nodding in the direction of downtempo, dub and IDM, with elements of D’n’B, trance and techno. His music has been released by a number of labels including Lowless Records, Well Street Records, Rgd tribe and Annulled Music. Adept at sustaining the fine tension between dancefloor energy and audiophile precision of intent home listening, Formant Value brings a uniquely fresh take on contemporary club music.

Basel’s Timnah joins our series with a long-anticipated recording from last year’s inaugural pe:rsona, an intimate gathering from the minds at Positive Education. Over the years Timnah has established a reputation for expansive and visionary selections without equal, lending her voice to the beloved Amentia and A Walking Contradiction collectives and leading audiences into captivating unknowns worldwide. Recorded live in the French countryside at the peak of summer, Timnah’s set smolders with delicate tension, lacing outward like tendrils upon shattering glass. Operating at the frontiers of electronic music, Spekki Webu stands apart as a true architect of his own sonic universe. The visionary behind the Mirror Zone label and a highly prolific producer, his work - including an excellent debut album last year - is a testament to a relentless pursuit of the new, sculpting a sound that is both boundary pushing and universally mind-altering.

Offering some insight into the deeply personal and experimental nature of this deep trip, the Dutch maestro explains:

“This mix is mainly music by myself, upcoming music on the label and some unreleased tunes by friends. I have been exploring lots of different tempo's the last few months and also been reprocessing a lot of field recordings which have been layered a lot in this mix. You can almost say that this is a hybrid mix where I am live layering field recordings and processing them in real time. But the main focus is of course the DJ part. Slowly unfolding and blending from chapter to chapter, I don't engage my mixes as mixes anymore, more like this feeling of reading a few pages from my personal book.

Minimalistic movements drowned in wider atmospheric arrangements within this story. A lot of this music in this mix has been made in the last months and dives into introspective moments. Blurring textures which have felt like clouded moments in my consciousness, like living in some sort of dream and moving on to the next stage. Preparing for changes. Waiting for new movements.”
