Somos un duo Dark wave/post punk de Tijuana. Es un proyecto que empezamos en 2020 debido al aislamiento, nos pusimos a sacar nuestras inquietudes musicales y letras más oscuras, pensamientos que nos estaban pasando en esos momentos , las pocas canciones que tenemos hablan de aislamiento muerte y oscuridad. Formado por Karim Rosales productor musical y Belem Politron en la voz quien escribe las letras que adoptamos para nuestra música. Somos un par de almas enamoradas de la música, de hecho ambos somos músicos de bandas de psychobilly / Los Helldandys e Intrepid Mutants , con este proyecto hemos hecho realidad un anhelo de hacer música más electrónica y oscura con sintetizadores y sonidos post punk. Nuestras grandes influencias son desde The Cure hasta Boy Harsher, She Past Away pasando por Joy Division , somos melómanos y estamos planeando hacer un lanzamiento cada cierto tiempo acompañado de su respectivo video , esa es la dinámica del proyecto y estamos preparándonos para presentarnos en vivo, no somos extraños de los escenarios con nuestras bandas ya hemos tocado en diferentes ciudades de México y en California en el caso de Intrepid Mutants.

La Muerte Te Acecha

We’ve got one last banger before the rekkid drops this Friday. In case you still haven’t been acquainted yet, the cowboy futurist of Oz, Cong Josie, is back to make darn sure you know his name and his game with ‘Cong the Singer’ the final single from his eponymous album Cong! It’s 4 minutes of Cong madness and malarky after which we think you’ll count yourself a co-conspirator, partner in crime or just need a cold shower. 

This thrusting synth-punk stomper is a timely manifesto announcing the imminent release of his debut LP, Cong!  Crooning, yelping and cooly fantasising in spoken word, Cong serves up his most blistering joy-ride yet. Imagery is invoked of a speeding Eastern Freeway drive in a crowded clown-car/Ford Laser with Giorgio Moroder in the back seat squeezed in with a strong-man chanting choir and a lush disco chanteuse whose voice floats crystal clear with hope. Cong is at the wheel of course, all hopped up on 7/11 one dollar coffees singing Roy Orbison too fast at 78rpm while Johnny Cayn is the front passenger playing a hillbilly slide guitar with complete abandon - wind flowing through his curly locks.

The origin story told in ‘Cong The Singer’ of Cong coming good as a gun-for-hire singer who becomes infamous at the parma-night mega pubs of the suburban sprawl doing a sort of Elvis-does-pub-rock karaoke show may have only a thin veneer of irony about it though. Cong’s daylighting alter-ego Nic Oogjes (NO ZU) grew up driving daily on the freeway mentioned, and it could be said that his own insecurities as a singer, and that of perpetually feeling like an outsider who (fruitlessly) seeks acceptance via creative output, of which will never actually align with broad definitions of 'good' in the ‘burbs, could be fuelling this trip. This is just a theory though. For now, let’s just thrust along to Cong, the “stiletto singer, moonlighting in the dead of night”.

Lessines, Belgium, mid-1980s. The city that saw the birth of surrealist artists such as René Magritte or Louis Scutenaire looked like a musical desert. Three friends decided to create a band: voice, bass guitar and analog synths. Later, two other guys joined them.

The Ultimate Dreamers are influenced by Belgian cold wave and British post-punk music but the teenagers explored their own way. The frigid, organic tones tainted with melancholy melodies maybe catchy, maybe verging on the dissonant, serve as a backdrop for themes dominated by raw dreams, distressed love and social criticism. Between 1986 and 1990, they wrote and self- recorded numerous tracks at home before falling asleep.

Thirty years on, Covid oblige, the recordings resurfaced and were brought to the ear of Dimitri, the record label magnate behind Wool-E Discs, who immediately offers an album deal. After selection and mastering, 11 tracks were to be selected under the banner of Live Happily While Waiting For Death, released on September 20, 2021.

The Ultimate Dreamers are reverie no more, they are back in a new configuration including three original members and a new one. The repertoire is exhumed, resuscitated and enriched with new creations...

Lunacy continues its program of subliminal aural annihilation with “Glyph,” the second single from the upcoming Echo in the Memory LP— due April 1, 2022,

“Glyph” rides a framework of crunchy Berlin School synthesizers across the Uncanny Valley to post-industrial oblivion: a metaverse of hallucinatory psychoacoustic vocals embedded within genre-bending electronics and wisps of reverberated guitars. Like the salvaged equipment used in its construction, “Glyph” scours the scrapyards of industrial, shoegaze, post-punk and noise music to erect a patchwork obelisk of electronic circuitry and magnetic tape.


“Glyph” hits DSPs January 11, 2022. Echo in the Memory comes out April 1, 2022—only on Oliver Ackermann’s (Death By Audio/A Place To Bury Strangers) label Dedstrange.
