Recorded in Lisbon, Winter 2017. I present the first volume of Synthesizer Ditties inspired by a bygone age of witches and wizards, knights and dragons, enchanted swords, haunted graves, sacred forests and regal kingdoms. Recorded almost entirely on a Korg Monologue + spring reverb / LN76 (TR-08 on some ditties also). I've not made the other volumes yet, but when i do, maybe i'll put it out as some sort of expensive compendium or do a limited dubplate run or something else annoying like that? Montreal Dances Across Borders vol.1 is a collaborative album bringing together 10 artists of “underground dance music” in Montréal (originally Tiotia:ke in the language of Kanien’kehá:ka people). This project is to remind that this music is above all made to unite through differences, across all types of physical or abstract borders.

Although the tracks from this album will be downloadable for free, it will be possible for those who wish to make donations for Solidarity Without Borders (www.solidarityacrossborders.org), a migrant justice network active in Montreal since 2003.

PREMIERE: CMD - Nanobodies Of Love [MTL Dances Across Borders]

Curated by Montreal based producer, Jean Grünewald (who goes under the alias ottoman.grüw) and online magazine, Mes Enceintes Font, 'Montreal Dances Across Borders' brings together the best from Montreal's underground dance scene, raising money for good causes and highlighting the principles of solidarity and unity that underpin dance music culture.

Although the compilation is available for free download, MDAB ask for pay-as-you-feel donations, raising money for 'Solidarity Across Borders'. Active since 2003, Solidarity Across Borders are a migrant network based in Montreal. Together they mobilise to support individuals and families who experience unjust treatment within the immigration and refugee system.

We have the first listen on Aquaventure's 'Expanding Uncertainty'; a name that feels particularly poignant. White noise dissonance, watery textures and distorted whispers give way to a punchy arrangement driven by bubbling robotics. A looping simulation of sorts, 'Expanding Uncertainty' is a clear representation of music as an art form.
