Back to kick of 2022 under the best auspices, Hysteria Temple Foundation return with their sophomore instalment, “Ritual” - a four-track audio trip showcasing the duo’s signature blend of bassy horsepower, tribal anchorage and dubbed-out futurism.
Hijacking your sound system with instant impact, the lead-track “Carpathian Ritual” featuring
Alina Pash is a perfect example of HTF’s hair-raising take on shamanic 4x4 wares. Inspired by ayahuasca-induced visions she had in the Carpathians, “Carpathian Ritual” reels out as a faux- junglistic maelstrom of sense-awakening, ritualistic frenzy and adventurous introspection you’ll have a hard time fnding any equivalent to in today’s landscape.
A more subdued afair, “Tundrak” treats us to an even darker, desert folk music-informed voyage into opaque melodic grounds. Relying on a palette similar to that of dub techno all the while implementing and polishing a distinctive sonic approach, it convulsively threads its way past known beacons and genre-bound limitations to establish its own line of action, half-way surgical BMB oomph, rage-flled drone and Berber traditions.
Cranking the speed levels up a notch, “Shyrokyi Lu” heaves us amidst a fery batucada; horns, chimes and drums blazing to overwhelming efect as we enter a trance-like state of physical dispossession.
Rounding of the package is “Transilvania ” - a zen-like piece of temple music ftting both meditative and subtle after time-friendly use with its slo-evolving layers and lulling drums on a fy, appeasing jazz tip.

Meta[noia], an experimental electronic music duo based in Colombia, debuts with their first EP entitled "Hélix". This release is a profound exploration of the transformation of perception and mind, a sonic journey that challenges the listener's expectations and evokes a wide range of emotions.

Each track on "Hélix" is a self-contained narrative that transports the listener through dense and enveloping soundscapes. Meta[noia] fuses abstract rhythms with indigenous and modern elements, creating a unique atmosphere that invites introspection and discovery. The music is not only heard, but felt, resonating deeply in the body and mind of those who experience it.

Meta[noia]'s philosophy centers on exploration and experimentation, with a focus on the transmutation of reality and perception. This EP is a journey through the mind, from the vast complexity of the soundscapes to the intimate emotional connection created in each track.

Taila is the starting point of the journey, where the mind begins to transform perception. The track starts with abstract rhythms and unexpected progressions that evolve into a complex soundscape. The sonic density and indigenous elements create an atmosphere that envelops the listener, inviting him to an introspective journey.

Polimnia takes the listener to an unexpected place, a destination where the three divisions of the world meet. The music here is a fusion of modern and traditional sounds, creating a space where one can look in each direction and be caught up in each universe. It is a sonic experience that defies expectations and takes the listener into a state of deep contemplation.

Calliope, represents the culmination of the journey, where the listener is consecrated by the muses. Thalia, Polyhymnia and Calliope inspire this piece with their theatrical and bodily gifts. The track is characterized by a mix of abstract rhythms and complex soundscapes that create an atmosphere of inspiration and deep understanding.

"Helix" is more than an EP; it is a complete sensory experience. Meta[noia] has created a sonic journey that is not only heard, but felt in every fractal of the listener's perception. This EP invites inner exploration, introspection and discovery, leading each listener to a state of personal and emotional transformation.

After offering up a free two track EP to introduce himself in 2019, we asked Circular Jaw mainstay, now permanently branded artist Hedchef & USA based Electro heavyweight Doctor Jeep to put a spin on Pluralist’s unique tones that have found their way into club and radio sets around the globe over the past year being supported by Jossy Mitsu, Darwin, Re:ni, Freshta, Nightwave + more. 

Since joining the roster in May 2019, Pluralist has been consistently in the studio mastering his craft across singles, remixes & edits & getting his hands dirty testing & trialling his creations in & around the roots of our labels stomping ground Selly Oak, Birmingham. With 2 EP’s under his belt & a steady schedule of gigs across the UK, 2020 is looking to be an exciting year for this multi talented producer.

First up we have a nutty contortion of ‘Gallak’ from professor Rayner aka Hedchef. This remix stays true to both artists signature styles with his use of fast paced stabs, aggressive sample cuts and pounding kick drums.

The second track on the EP comes from a huge name in the game Doctor Jeep. We’re very pleased to announce a 135 Bpm Electro remix after previously surprising people with this style in his track ‘Vault Of Glass’ released in 2018 on Etch & Bulu’s label ‘Bun The Grid’.
