Summer Melody presents another new installment of our Intertwines EP series, showcasing new and upcoming artists in a pair of two, and starting their own fusion towards the label. Kickstarting the new year of 2026, our 19th installment includes two melodic tracks from returning artists from US and China respectively.

It's been a long while to see a talented artist returning on the label with style, and after an array of releases on labels such as RockRiverRecords, Sunset Horizon, Emergent Shores and Sunwaves Digital: With the newly developing synthwave meets melodic progressive blend, Josiah1 returns with Lowlit Skies. Elements of 80s-inspired synthwave sounds fuses with the melodic tones and atmospheric sounds that melodic progressive has, Lowlit Skies delivers a melancholic yet nostalgic sensation, as well as a wonderful sunset vibe for early mornings or dawning moments.

Another side of the pairing also welcomes back another talented artist: Flowing on genres of organic house, melodic breaks and melodic progressive, and with releases on labels such as Synthdelic Music, Synth Collective and Soluna Music, as well as released on our sub-label NuHouse last year, Nikko returns with the melodic-driven After The Storm. Seeping his organic touch with the drum beat, the track merges acoustic elements of piano and strings with melodic synthlines and solid basslines. The track shows how this Japan-based Chinese artist develop, since his debut on Summer Melodies Vol. 7 in 2021, and certainly recaptures the attention for his melodic future this year!
