I AM STEREO - People Under Sun

I Am Stereo is a South Florida foursome made up of members from shoegaze stalwarts WHIRLAWAY, the Tony Lash-mixed HELLO HUMAN and international indiepop band THE POSTMARKS. Their self-titled debut E.P., mastered by indie icon Kramer (Sonic Youth, Half-Japanese) owes as much to '90s indie rock and shoegaze as it does to '60s psychedelic and French pop. Swirling vibraphone and rhodes electric piano sit atop solid songwriting and catchy melodies. The spacious guitars of RIDE and the space-age pop of AIR will come to mind when listening to the five song E.P. from this South Florida band. A second E.P. will be available soon and will continue the path toward mixing current music trends with the garage pop of 60s bands like THE KINKS, and FREE DESIGN, and modern revivalists like the LILYS and SLOAN.
