Release Info: 
Beginning 2018 by remixing two of the industry's most revered talents in Nick Warren and Jerome Isma-Ae, Cid Inc now presents his first original project of the year. 'Abyss' is the hugely anticipated follow-up to the Finnish artist's chart topping progressive anthem 'Shifter'. A staple in the sets of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren all throughout 2017, it sat comfortably as one of the genre's best by year's end.

From stripped, punchy beginnings 'Abyss' retains the progressive techno ethos Cid Inc. was instrumental in creating almost a decade ago. Encased in a crisp rhythmic shell, warm bass swells and machine gun cadence drive the foundation. The storyboard evolves with delicate melodic lines and impassioned overlays, eventually melting down into a euphoric break. As the melodies blossom an intensely emotive crescendo is reached as a soulful wail summons a powerful final act.

The companion piece 'From Within' finds Cid Inc. exploring dreamier textures and wistful sonic tapestries. Binding rhythmic flow with distinctive stabs and hypnotic arps makes for a sleek, meditative first act. A perfect prelude of sorts, as tasteful chord
changes summon melancholic motifs and hopeful pads, building subtly as a smooth rush embodies warmth towards a purring finale.

Sitting comfortably in the present, 'Abyss' maintains that timeless flair which embodies Cid Inc's work. Two striking tracks for the impending spring season and no doubt a look ahead to more exceptional music from the Finnish artist.

Wieder in der Realität angekommen nach der geschmeidigen Sause gestern. Man hat das gut getan mal zu den Wurzeln zurückzukehren und die alte Hood zu besuchen. Nach dem Massenauflauf in der Kathedrale hat die Wohnzimmer-Atmosphäre ein wohliges Gefühl der Freiheit vermittelt. Demnächst geht’s definitiv wieder öfter in die Innenstadt. Vielleicht sollte ich mir auch mal wieder die kleinen, aufwendig gestalteten Raves im Park wieder anschauen. Na dann Handy versorge mich mit Musik, damit ich beschwingt aus dem Bett hüpfen kann. Kurz mal checken ob jemand geschrieben hat.

Woher haben die meine Nummer und vor allem wieso wissen die, dass ich gestern feiern war. Die haben ihre Leute mittlerweile echt Überall. Was für eine miese Masche, so die Leute abzuwerben. Das geht doch entschieden zu weit. So geil die Partys auch sein mögen, es gibt Grenzen und die werden eindeutig überschritten. Das stärkt mich nur in meinem Entschluss wieder die alten Wohnzimmer vergangener Tage zu besuchen. Dort wo die Musik noch mit Hand und Herz gemacht wird. Mal schauen wer denn nächste Woche zu Besuch ist im „Hufeneisen“. Marius Drescher wird vor Ort sein! Wunderbar seine letzten Releases waren einfach genial. Na dann schmeißen wir uns doch mal sein neuestes Set auf die Ohren, um die Floorfreude zu steigern.

Colombia meets Morocco here with this fantastic collaboration between Steve Dekay and Mhammed El Alami and although titled Shadows this one will most definitely bring them into the light. Ian Dillon Sunset Sessions January 17th 2021

Alfonso Pomeda, better known as F-on, has been a stalwart of Madrid's underground music scene for more than two decades. Whether through his firstborn label Downbeat, whom he co-founded alongside Jose Rico and Urtzi more than a decade ago, or through his own imprint Alpenglüchen, F-on is uncompromising when it comes to the deeper sides of House, Techno, and Ambient. Alfonso's broad musical knowledge can be recognized in both his productions and DJ sets, where he flawlessly blends contemporary, forward-thinking electronic music with elements from the turn of the century.
The mix F-on made for us is a true masterpiece from the depths of House and Techno. Immaculately executed, this two-hour timeless journey is an ode to all those late after hours we all long for.

Huge, enormous thanks to Framewerk for teaming up and joining the Tangled Synthetic roster this month.  The lads served up a truly sumptuous guest mix, which was aired exclusively on Saturo Sounds Radio on Monday 11 January. 

Based in the UK, Framewerk (aka Darren James and Alec Milliner) are influenced by the encompassing sounds of electronica: from progressive to breaks to chill out.

These sounds are not only found in their own productions and remixes, but also form the basis of their DJ sets and radio shows, and are further enhanced through their Capital Heaven record label.

Bio :

My name is Lukas Schwarz and I live in a small village in Austria.
I've been interested in music since childhood. I played drums for 8 years and played in a large orchestra.
after a while i decided to stop.
I did not want to anymore.

After a long period of standstill and exploring various musical styles, I decided from my experience of music to do something of my own.
i learned to love, feel and understand electronic music.
I was always fascinated by emotional, melancholic atmospheres, but also danceable deep mood often makes me blossom.
I wavered a long time with my productions. finally I was accepted into the dubtechno family, where I released an ep named „changes in the matrix“ with two artists and now good friends.

so i slid more and more into the depths of the music and i just clung to deep atmospheric sounds that excited me and the listener. i have released much music on this point.
„deep structures“ „10,32 Kelvin“ „drafted love“ and much more of singles and productions on Various artists albums.

but i didn't want to belong to any fixed genre.
I did this and that. Sometimes ambient, sometimes dubtechno and sometimes something of my own.

so I decided to be free.
I just decided to do what I love and want to produce.

because it is difficult to remain steadfast in this world full of music and to make a decision.

I remain true to my inner voice and will follow my dark emotional streak as far as possible.

Super delighted to collaborate with my fellow Saturo Sounds Resident, Phil Littledyke, who also regularly rocks the North East of England at his longstanding residency at Progress:ON.

We love Alex Di Stefano. We love that he loves trance as much as he loves techno. We love trance. We love techno. We love tech trance. So when we asked Alex to make a new single for VII that embraced his love of both techno and trance - he loved the idea. He said yes and we loved that. And here we are - with an absolutely brilliant record called Above The Sky that we absolutely LOVE. 

So to conclude - there’s a lot of love involved in this record and that’s exactly what the world needs right now - a lot of love. 

Oh, and some trance. And some techno. Trance, techno and love. That’s an epic cocktail we’re happy to drink all day every day.
