Lee Foss Presents the Modern Amusement Podcast episode 01. . .
I received this mix last week.  It was sent from a future me on a disc labeled Lee Foss Live @ Hot Natured Party Saturn 2082.  It was brought by robot called B6 the Backwards Motion Robot.  It was shivering and cold to the touch so I take it the time travel process must be freezing.  Some time in the near future mankind must have achieved both time travel and a colony on Saturn.  Apparently this was a “classics set from the early 2000’s” at a Hot Natured Party on Saturn and “went right off”  This was all the information B6 had. . .
As this mix was made by a future me, or possibly a clone I do not have a tracklist.  Enjoy. . .

I went on around 3:30 in the morning so it starts heavier and cools down as the crowd starts thinning out to call it a night, so it felt more like a closing set even though the music was continues for 36 hours at the festival...

Rest in peace, Ronald Gourlay & Alan Guzman. Remembered as those who lived for nothing but the music; addicts who inevitably lost their lives to the dark pressuring timbres of everything house. Multiplying adrenaline levels for the individuals who boast an acquired taste for bass, dishing out an eclectic tonal beat down of sui-generis repertoire.

One simply cannot anticipate what to expect from from this act gig by gig due to the sheer consistency of satisfying curve-balls that are tossed into every set. Combining Ronald's Toronto roots with Alan's LA/Toronto upbringing on the scene, the product of their performance is unlike anything you have ever heard before.

Their intent is to pummel you with aggressive tonal force, beaming sheer contentment as they lacerate dance floors with their hard hitting rhythms and sounds of groove so that they can fulfill their only motive - to make their audience Casualties Of Sound as well.▲▲▲

Secret Society Sessions is a show broadcasted every Wednesday 6-9pm live from Girth Radio. The studio is conveniently nestled inside an aesthetic bar just one block east of St. Lawrence Market, Pacific Junction Hotel​ (234 King Street East) in the City of Toronto.

Our goal is to provide the atmosphere for a regular gathering that revolves around our love for music and the celebration of getting over the hump of the week. Come early, spend a few hours with your friends listening to artistically curated sounds and go home happy, proving that a night out does not necessarily have to be followed by a day in.

This is more than a radio show… it is a social collective for people at play. January 13th sees Riva Starr’s acclaimed Snatch! Records return with the third installment of their popular compilation series, entitled ‘In Dubb Vol.3’, ahead of their upcoming showcase at Mexico’s The BPM Festival at Playa del Carmen’s Salon Salsanera Raices on January 11th.

Following their sold-out party during 2016’s edition of the festival, Riva Starr and Snatch! return to the prestigious event once again, this time seeing Starr headline alongside Spain’s Dennis Cruz, Germany’s rising House talent Emanuel Satie, Italy’s dynamic duo Paul C & Paolo Martini and Miky J. 

To coincide with their showcase, Starr has meticulously handpicked 15 exclusive tracks - from some of Snatch! Records most promising artists - to appear on their forthcoming compilation, which aims to provide a taster of what people can expect to hear at their highly anticipated event plus reflect the ‘dubbier’ side of the imprint. 

Nico Cabeza’s excellent deep-groover ‘Heavy Body’ kicks off the release, and makes way for further highlights such as Joe Red and Kostha’s pounding Tech-House roller ‘Vladimir’, Click Click & DJ Glen’s pulsating synth-driven ‘Birdhain’, the tribal-tinged ‘At The Club’ by A.S.R and Ruben Mandolini’s gorgeously soulful House number, ‘Sweet As The Sun’.
