Serge Modular Synthesizer

A demo patch on the Serge Modular 4U system built by STS.  ADSR was cycled at audio rates via sine wave to "Sustain" in and triangle wave to "Gate" in.  The modulating oscillators from the NTO were further SYNC-d to a complex pulse from the Smooth / Stepped Generator or FM-d from a PCO.

Serge モジュラーシンセで作ったパッチ例。ADSRの電圧をエンベロープとしてではなくオシレーターとして可聴域で発振させています。「Sustain」に正弦波、「Gate」に三角波などを送るとオシレーターのように振る舞います。さらに送る正弦波をSYNCやFMなどで変調するとなんとも言えない「邪悪」な音質を実現できます。

Cybernetic patch with a dendrite and axon part.  Three VCO's are mixed together and fed into a comparator, then a peak circuit.  This then triggers a VCFQ.  The VCFQ signal is then slewed to produce an envelope which is in turn fed back into the frequencies of the VC0's, cut-off of the VCFQ and so on.

A 3-dimensional chaos generator patch using the double-well problem from quantum mechanics.  A strange attractor was generated through procedures outlined in the video by La Synthèse Humaine.
