The Jolisa EP marks a significant shift in Luca dell’Orso’s sound. Although the electric hooks and rolling rhythms that characterise the dutchman’s signature style are still present, new avenues are explored. One notable change is the addition of vocals, care of the EP’s namesake: Jolisa. The opening, “Sixteen”, smoulders with a palpable intensity. Steady beats and textured pads support synth stabs as impassioned vocals recant a tale of past lessons. “Reach Out”, on the flip, is a different animal. Big and daring, chords chug next slicing snares while lyrics brim with hope. Two instrumental works balance the four tracker. “Nighttime” is perfectly sculpted with a soulful melody and clean percussion, vocoder lyrics giving a sorrowful slant to track. A true epic closes: “Tomorrow’s Already Here.” Bold keys and racing rhythms collide in this 80s steeped extravaganza, electro-disco and car chases in this incredible end. A defining EP from Luca dell’Orso.

GABD012 sees Viikatory join the Gimme A Break roster with a 6-track EP of cosmic electro. Hailing from Minsk, Belarus, Viikatory began producing in 2019 and absorbed production techniques at a fierce pace. Classical training from a young age adds a harmonic side to her high-momentum tracks. Viikatory has previously released on Warning, Mana Ambulance, International Chrome, Lap Records, Mutual Pleasure and also has a forthcoming release with Juicy Gang Records. For GABD012, Viikatory has fused her signature style of gritty electro with breakbeats and trance-inspired elements to produce a collection of compositions which transport listeners into the stratosphere and rave alike.

The EP opens with ‘Got My 2nd Juice’ an extra-terrestrial, amphibious production which fuses celestial bleeps with a creeping bassline, transitioning to a steady four-by-four rhythm in the track’s latter half. “05” follows with a stunning cascade of 808 percussion, shimmering synths and bubbling bassline arpeggios. “Transmission” leans into Viikatory’s trance inspirations while maintaining the EP’s firm foundation upon dark and sinister electro. “Break Point” and “To The Future” showcase Viikatory’s impressive drum programming and breakbeat manipulation. Finally, Hermeth delivers a high-octane remix of “Got My 2nd Juice” to round off GABD012.

Daring key shifts unveil the full track, inspirational words and melodic wizardry waltzing arm-in-arm. Flying ever higher, electrical pulses of hi-nrg jolt this dancefloor burner. Bordello A Parigi is delighted to announce the return of Ichisan to the label. The Slovenian producer draws on the soul of house, the clean lines of electro and smoky grooves of disco for Saturnus. Full-bodied percussion lays a path for curves of keyboard to mingle with throaty basslines, cosmic constellations blooming and bursting in this nine-minute odyssey. Off-kilter keys steady themselves into solid strings for “Rodeo Disko”, bubbles of funk rising to the surface as distant vocoders echo to the distance. An appreciation of the meandering melodies of the late 1970s permeates the three offerings. Percussive patterns shift with “Fujirama”. Droplets of drums gather to a racing rhythm, a spiralling synthline speeds while a thick dauby bass calms the tempo. This close is emblematic of the entire EP, clever and upbeat with an underlying intricacy that illustrates Ichisan’s evolution as an artist. A welcome return from a wonderful talent.

I-Robots aka "Gianluca Pandullo” Turin, Italy native eclectic DJ, Producer, Remixer, A&R man having been active in the scene in one way or another since the early 80's. I-Robots story is one of many genres, styles of music and an insatiable enthusiasm for new experiences.​

From his early days he was inspired by the sounds of Soul-Jazz, Funk, Disco, Ethno and African Rhythms, Krautrock, Cosmic and early Electronic and the sounds that was forming the roots of all contemporary sounds so it would be wrong to pin his productions down to a certain genre.​​

That idea, of exploration and looking for the fresh is at the core of what Gianluca does. Never sticking slavishly to one sound, he has spread his wing wider than most. Nowhere is this more evident than in his live performance, where his passion is to bring it all together in a unique experience with elements of Deep House, Techno & Electronic Music to more modern experiments like Indie Dance & Nu Disco.​​
