Federico Gandin returns, after a long break, with 4 powerful tracks that once again demonstrate all the love of the Turin DJ for
the sound of Detroit and the long connection of its past with many artists of the Motor City scene.
Citizen Of The World, the first track, is a tribute to a great Claude Young classic and the history of cinema through the voice of Charlie Chaplin.
It follows the circular tribalism of "Primal Devotion", the peaktime techno of "Vertical Horizon" and the more deep and nostalgic one of "I Love It" to close the EP of one of the most American artists of the Opilec Music stable

To mark the memorial of the passing of Ian Curtis, I-Robots & Opilec Music are excited to present a very special single release. Inspired by the early work of Joy Division, New Order and Ian himself, a set of artists who were in turn inspired also by the Italo wave directly and created a generation of music that sent shockwaves through global music.

Releasing on the anniversary of Ian Curtis's passing, May the 18th. Opilec Music present the special I-Robots Reconstruction of -COBALTO+ - Atmosphere Ft. Lilith. Having worked previously reworking some remakes like Blue Monday, Dirty Talk and Lucky Star, I-Robots rework was heavily influenced by the works of those music greats and the sound from New Order to Kraftwerk - completing the circle of musical inspiration that knows no borders. This release celebrates an era of sound that blurs the sounds between post-punk, Italo, Pop and other Electronic sounds.

-COBALTO+ themselves are an Italian band best known for working recently with Tim Palmer, their “Atmosphere” track is a remake of Joy Division’s 1980 classic - featuring "Lilith" the ex singer of “Not Moving” an early 80’s kult Italian rock band: their remake first appeared on their -COBALTO+ 2018 LP "Citus Mutus" and we revisit this with our new I-Robots Reconstruction. A taste of what is to come as it is part of a forthcoming EP that will also include Luca Vera and Riggel remixes.

I-Robots presents his 2020 "Frau" remix package, featuring 17 new remixers in 2 parts - each artist working at the top of their game to make this a very special record. In this package we see the original taken in many different directions but each with their own interpretation of the originals vision.

Originally released in 2004 "Frau" to date is still one of I-Robots most popular tracks. The original, (remastered version and acapella are also included in the package) was inspired by the classic track Charlie’s "Spacer Woman" and other tracks from the Italo golden era. Music from the likes of Alexander Robotnick, Capricorn, Kano, Klein & M.B.O., N.O.I.A. and more released on the kult
“I-Robots - Italo Electro Disco Underground Classic” compilation released also in the same year.

Immediately supported by IDJ Mag, Ivan Smagghe, 2Many DJs , Radio Slave, Sven Vath, Tiga and Felix Da Housecat and previously remixed by the likes of Boys Noize and Phuzique it was important and the new batch of remixers, coming from all across the globe brought this classic bang up to date.

Opilec Music cierra el año con su VA de Remixes a Frau. El original Frau de I-Robots ha sido remezclado por un gran elenco de productores de la escena Disco, entre los que se encuentran Marco Dionigi, Luca Vera o el remix del estadounidense Dubrowski que estrenamos hoy en exclusiva para DJ MAG ES.

Una versión del original mucho más House y sintético que su original en el que además las voces se sustituyen por una versión robótica con el uso de Vocoders. A la venta desde el 20 de Diciembre.

I-Robots aka "Gianluca Pandullo” Turin, Italy native eclectic DJ, Producer, Remixer, A&R man having been active in the scene in one way or another since the early 80's. I-Robots story is one of many genres, styles of music and an insatiable enthusiasm for new experiences.​

From his early days he was inspired by the sounds of Soul-Jazz, Funk, Disco, Ethno and African Rhythms, Krautrock, Cosmic and early Electronic and the sounds that was forming the roots of all contemporary sounds so it would be wrong to pin his productions down to a certain genre.​​

That idea, of exploration and looking for the fresh is at the core of what Gianluca does. Never sticking slavishly to one sound, he has spread his wing wider than most. Nowhere is this more evident than in his live performance, where his passion is to bring it all together in a unique experience with elements of Deep House, Techno & Electronic Music to more modern experiments like Indie Dance & Nu Disco.​​

Just like his own creations, his label follows the same "No Sound is Too Taboo" ethos and it really shows. Featuring an insightful and creative catalog of music. Reflective of his personality and passion as the collaboration he had with a stunning artists team including:​​
