Dennis Brown was an artist who bridged both music and poetry. He recorded more than 75 albums in a career that spanned 30 years. Entering the hearts of entire generations both in and out of the world of reggae, he became Bob Marley’s favorite singer.The second volume of “Icons” is an homage to this singer and poet. He was unaware of his natural nobility until reggae lovers titled him The Crown Prince of Reggae.

When you listen to a lot of Roots music you hear a lot of the messages expressed are about Rastafari, Marcus Garvey, life choices/styles, Babylon system, sufferation, prejudice, oppression and the like. It's a good thing, because it teaches us about survival, livity, culture and the experiences and struggle, primarily back when a lot of this music was recorded. The struggle stands out but there was a lot of love, vibes, happiness & joy included in the music.

So here comes a musical ting' called ‘Lovers Roots’. Spanning the years 1969-1984 this is a collection of sweet reggae music backed some heavy riddims with a lovers feel. For 18 years, from 1969 to 1987, Clinton Fearon was the bass player, vocalist, composer and lyricist for one of the most successful roots reggae bands of all time, The Gladiators. Add to that his parallel career as house musician for Coxsone Dodd’s Studio One and Lee “Scratch” Perry’s Black Ark Studio, two of the most famous Jamaican producers you could ever hope to meet, and you begin to see why today Clinton Fearon is such an influential and respected musician.

'Heart And Soul', his new entirely acoustic album that here includes 2 bonus tracks, bears witness to his early work with the Gladiators as the bulk of the songs were written during that time. It's not the first acoustic album he's recorded but it is the first on which he plays every single instrument. Rhythm, bass and acoustic guitars, congas, calabash, cabasa, cowbell and comb, not forgetting his 'wooden frog' and the ping of a spoon against glasses of water; all are pure, undiluted Clinton.

“My music is roots reggae from the island of Jamaica. I grew up deep in the hills, up in St. Catherine, surrounded by nature, beauty and hard work. CLINTON FEARON - who cares (Sun Providers mix)

I-SHENCE was founded in 1996 in Perugia (Italy). 
In 1999 they started organizing events and cutting dubplates, thank's to I-SHENCE the Perugia massive have seen artists like Sizzla, Buju Banton, Morgan Heritage, Barrington Levy, Bushman, The Wailers, Luciano, The I-Threes, Sugar Minnot, Tristan Palmer, General Degree and many more...and also sounds like: Killamanjaro, Pow Pow, One Love, Soundquake, David Rodigan, LP I'ntl, Supersonic and many others in they're own small town and Perugia started being considered as one of Italy's hottest yards.
From 2001 to 2006 I-SHENCE participated in 4 soundclashes in Italy winning all except against Villa Ada at the X-Mas clash in Padova, one in France(Marseille)losing in tune fi tune... and one in Spain "SPANISH CLASH '06" Bringing home the trophy !!! 
In December 2006 I-Shence were invited to perform at the Mass in Brixton, London by David Rodigan where they juggled together longside !!! 
In 2007 I-SHENCE continued to tour all over Italy and performed abroad in Spain, Belgium, Germany and for the first time in JAMAICA on Easter Friday at DUTTY FRIDAYS (Fletchers Land, Kingston) before Fire Links, Bounty Killer and Mavado !!!!!
In the same year some members of I-SHENCE moved to Kingston Jamaica for 4 months were they collected dubplates for themselves and provided a Dubplate service for many European sounds which continues and has been successful to this day.
In 2008 I-Shence participated in the "Call the undertaker clash" A home and away clash; 1 in Mannheim (Germany) and 1 in Rome (Italy) It ended in a tie, I-Shence winning in Germany and Citylock winning in Italy!!!
In 2013 I-Shence toured with HALF PINT in Spain, Ibiza & Italy and in 2014 they clashed with Ma Gash from switzerland defeating them in the dub fi dub !
2014 also saw the return of I-Shence in Jamaica where they performed at the Road block in Port Antonio and B&G mondays in downtown Kingston!!!
