It is with great pleasure that we at Unbeyond Anthologies present our first major landmark compilation dropping on June 28th: “Unbeyond Anthology One”. Packed with 20 new tracks from faces both familiar and fresh and an accompanying mix from label head Scavenger, the first Anthology is sure to turn heads with its immense variety of sounds and styles, all assembled into a cohesive experience showcasing the best of Unbeyond Anthologies’ community and the wider underground.

Label inductees Scavenger, The Nilk, Elira, jztincase!, Stellar Dendrites, Cynik, F/K, and &RUE return to drop fresh material, and we welcome inductees QVEST, S0MBRA, Inkdot, and Echomorphosis for their debuts on the label. We also happily introduce amazing contributions from the likes of am (ARG), xsdr, Lilithpad, Prism Shards, Vision K, Extrenor, VLena, and Xedi.

Altogether, “Unbeyond Anthology One” is a defining moment in our evolution and a promise of great things to come. Expect auditory excellence behind every corner, and always remember… we’re all in this together.

This DJ from the DC Area has been mixing since October of 2021 so about 3 years give or take. She had been captivated by the music scene in 2021 with events and venues like Loner, Shelter, Grost's Ethos, Holly's Data Fiesta/Cyber Net Cafe, and Ghost Club being valuable spaces for her because she felt more comfortable talking to and meeting others that were enthusiastic about creating and sharing art. This, in turn, led to her to try and pick up DJing because of her desire to engage more with music. She also wants to give a quick shoutout to Static. She was very intimidated about sharing self-expression and Slippy specifically reached out to her often to play which she says helped her get over her fear. Besides being excited to see how people react to the music, her favorite part of it all is highlighting really cool and interesting tracks by controlling how they're placed. Since playing in VR She's played at various venues and events with some of her highlights being Loner, Midnight Luv, Static, Redacted, Golden Sunset, and Friend Club which she is a cofounder of. She says creating friend club with/ her best friends has been incredibly empowering as it felt like a low-pressure space to express herself with the people she loves. 

When I asked her about her favorite genres to play out she said that she adores a lot of slower, 100-140 bpm, textural and percussive music. She feels that the more she delves into the sound the more difficult it becomes to label it as a single genre and she honestly feels that that's okay.

Today's set is inspired by a lot of the sets she's listened to recently like Liquidtime for Palestine with CCL which introduces a lot of unexpected grooves, and Powder's Sustain Release 2017 set that isn't afraid of more leftfield/difficult tracks to mix with. 

Outside of DJing, she enjoys bunnyhopping which is a rare activity that can be both meditative and extremely competitive. She also tried to have a Minecraft youtube career between 2011 and 2013 which she says was epic and her favorite non edm song is SoothSayer by Buckethead. 

Finally, She will be running another IRl friend club show in DC so pull up to that if you can and there will also be another Maghouse VR event sometime in August or September that she will be running as well.
