Harley Streten aka Flume is the electronic dreamboat with a big following and even bigger skillset. The epic Deluxe Edition of the Aussie producer's self-titled debut is due to drop on 12th November, with a physical version following on 9th December via Transgressive Records.

Fresh from playing CMJ, Adrian Galvin and Luca Buccellati are @Yellerkin, the handsome twosome currently winning over much of the industry (and the world) with their new single, Tools. Having just dropped the track's trippy visuals, the NY band have clearly been having late night adventures in the woods involving a touch of grave digging and plenty of Pranayama breath yoga/shamanic dance routine. Produced in their Bushwick bedrooms, Tools is a real genre hybrid, with a contagious energy pulsating as the boys reflect on the state of our generation. Stepping up to rework the track is Chicago’s @louisthechild, the preferred remixer of Bombay Bicycle Club. The South London based Church imprint continue their output of quality house and techno music with the next instalment of their white label series from neighbour Laurence Guy. According to his bio, Laurence was “raised by strippers in the dressing room of a Chicago lapdancing club with only a stack of Prince records for company.” While we can’t confirm that, the maker of punchy house music has certainly got our attention. Taken from his upcoming EP of the same name, i-D exclusively share Kojak. The smooth summertime jam eases you in with the gentlest of percussion, synth whirs and chimes, before drums and blissfully distorted bass holds your hand all the way to groove town. Press play.

Premiere: Laurence Guy - Kojak

With his baritone of butter, Jacob Banks could be seen as a successor to any of the 60s and 70s soul greats. But Banks' independently released music carries a different message for a different time. Currently unsigned, the Birmingham singer created his new EP, Paradox, entirely by himself - from mixing and mastering to designing the artwork. "I've put my heart on the line," Banks points out of the 7-track compilation of soul-searching songs that scale resentment and redemption. Taken from Paradox, the foot-stomping, fist-pumping Monster, produced by Show N Prove and Banks, is a passionate recourse aimed at the enemy - both external and within. “This song was born out of a lot anger," says Jacob. "I wrote it in my bathroom  - proper rock and roll! I’m going through life at a very fast pace and I’m learning a lot of things the hard way. One of the things I’ve learnt is that as much as I don’t like it, sometimes you have to become a monster to get what you want and I may well have to become the miracle I’m searching for.”
