The Black Dog - Dark Wave Vol. 08 - Versing Thee Vice

My first solo album "A Place Called • Inkonst" is available via Kontra-Musik, on double vinyl and digital, from November 4, 2019.

The vision for this album was bring my live gear and place it and myself in an audience perspective at different locations / rooms, and let improvisation take place. I believe we are always travelling through different rooms (dimensions) such as physical, mental or emotional.

How do these rooms affect each other in the creative expression, how do the rooms affect the expression and how does the expression affect the rooms?

I took my gear to the left-field music and art hub Inkonst in Malmö and spent six weeks exploring, jamming, improvising and feeling. This album is the result.

Sanguine Dreams (Kontra-Musik)

Dimka Batarin, ex-multi-instrumentalist of an indie-pop band Super Collection Orchestra from Ivan Dorn's label, traded the frivolous joys of life for a harsh underground beat, and we cannot but welcome him. For us, Batarin, now a DJ, Mosaique resident and techno producer, has recorded a very mature and atmospheric mix - not so much gloomy as thoughtful. As the author puts it, it reminds of "a dark labyrinth of self-beating, from which it is difficult to find a way out, and everyone has such moments in life". Indeed, we say, and immediately recall the "rule of one hand" and Luka-Trémaux's algorithm. Let's go for light in moderato, 93 bpm!
