Evan Voytas's new singles "Disappear Into the Stars" and "Lite Conversation" mark a welcome return for the out-there pop maestro, intergalactic in their scope but intimate in delivery. Voytas has refined his style in the three years since 2012's Feel Me EP, spending time working as a session musician and songwriter for other acts, including Chris Brown's "Time For Love" off the Grammy nominated album X. Reverting to a spare, minimal pop format, Voytas writes instantly familiar tunes but frames them with a sonic landscape that simultaneously references ’70s pop and ’90s rap.

Disappear Into the Stars/Lite Conversation is the fourth release in our For Immediate Release (FIR) digital single series.

Garden City Movement are the electronic Israeli born trio making music that that combine intricate atmospherics and beautifully hazy vocals that would charm even the sternest of characters. Recently the electro-pop trio showed they that they are more than just studio hermits as they proved their live skills in a recent Boiler Room show in Tel Aviv. Having dropped two very well received EPs already, supporting SOHN and playing Glastobury 2014, the three-piece prepare to drop their third offering in the form of the Modern West EP. i-D exclusively share the title track, kick back and press play.

It’s Love is The Legends' fifth studio album. The record details a recent chapter in the life of Johan Angergård which saw him wrestle with issues of loss, love and identity. At the same time, a new relationship came crashing into his world, bringing with it both infatuation and anxiety.

With his internal life shifting, an abrupt creative streak spurred It’s Love in a matter of months. Not surprisingly, acceptance soon followed, and although no firm answers have yet revealed themselves, Johan’s struggle stopped, to which he says, “I don’t know if this all sounds a bit pessimistic. It shouldn’t. It’s a new start. There’s a lot of hope. There’s love.”

Wasted moments. We had a lot of them. Even though I believe I’ve done the right thing at the time, when I look back I realize I actually made my life a lot more difficult. Not an uncommon tale. I rarely learn anything from the mistakes, in fact if I went back I’d probably do the same stuff all over again.

But I am trying. I’m trying to be better, and more honest. I was thinking about those wasted moments one night while I was working on my next record. I started writing this song, finished it in front of my drum kit the next day. I already had all my songs for the new record, this felt like something different, born out of the same ideas but for different reasons. 

I recorded it with tempo because life to me is tempo, it’s rarely slow. This song is the connect from where I was, to where I’m going to be very soon.
