Spektre are back on Phobiq presenting their latest sound, titled “Nightshade EP”. The title track sets the tone providing a bouncy bassline followed by atmospheric synth strings and some more intense percussions kicks . On “Serpentine” we are introduced to a more futuristic approach with soaring synths and stomping bass mixing up throughout the track providing an overall spacious vibe. Closing up the EP is “Macon Heights” with its groovy electronics and looped-out vocal snippets creating an epic momentum.

'It’s the turn of Brazilian producer Against The Time to deliver something special on Us & Them Records. The first track of the EP is called ‘Colider’, it’s a rather melancholic track with a haunting and intense vibe. The pace of the drums keeps the track going, even in the calmer parts of this beautiful soundscape. The second track called ‘Judgement’ is a more emotional cut. The track has less pace than Colider, that however does not mean it lacks dancefloor potential. Last but not least of the original mixes is ‘Vandal’. It’s a melodic track with lots of flowing elements that ultimately create a danceable groove. The main break cuts all the drums for maximum drama, but quickly returns to the tunnel where it came from.
The originals are accompanied by three remixes. First of there is the Colider remix by Paul Anthonee. It is a high-paced techno-bomb like the original, however the drums have a more aggressive feeling to them. Secondly there is the Voices of Valley remix of Judgement, which features the Greek duo’s unique style. The breakdown is where the duo really deliver something unique, huge emotional value leading up to a magnificent climax. The last remix of the EP is delivered by Altego on the track Vandal. It’s a hypnotic emotional track which relies on the main synth to lead the listener through its story. Well structured drums make sure that the track will stand its ground on the dancefloor and beyond.'
