With release nr. 11, Luv Shack Records are once again eager to exalt the diversity of their releases, while keeping up the quality.

LUV011 is the split EP of the two up and coming electronic music duos "Manhooker" and "Space Echo". Whilst both projects are still relatively new to the scene, they have equally made a stir with their first releases.

Manhooker consists of the two Berliners by choice Tomasz “Guiddo” Switala and Sebastian “Mavin” Magassouba. Their first release appeared on Ostgut Ton´s sublabel 'Unterton' and their second EP was recently released on german heavy hitters 'Sonar Kollektiv' - a collab with ex New Yorker Snax, featuring a remix by Justus Köhncke.

With 'Pushin & Shovin', Manhooker are once again evoking the spirit of classic soulful house hymns. It's an uplifting mix of 90s organs, filtered arpeggios and thick drums all held together by an acid bassline and Mavin´s shimmering vocals. And not to forget the trumpet solo!

The remix of 'Pushin & Shovin' comes from Brazilian wunderkind ROTCIV (who has already remixed Manhooker on their Unterton release). He strips off the smoothness of the original in favor of a more raw and analogue vibe. Its groove seems like a merger of modern electro and classic house, and although ROTCIV´s trademark stabs and pads are used quite ecstatically on this remix, the song structure remains just as strong as in the original.

On The flipside we have Space Echo, the duo of Viennese producer caTekk and (Luv Shack`s very own) Lee Stevens. Their first ever production as a duo was a remix for none other than Austra on Domino Records.

They're offering two equally powerful cuts on the B-side; 'Soul Power' is nothing short of a club burner. A mighty and continuously building ride of funk organs and disco drums, all with a delightfully modern touch. When the vocal kicks in for the first time, ringing in the break, the audience will surely fall into a frenzy when exposed to it! The disco guitars are just the icing on the cake.

'Soul People' takes a slightly more sensual path. Expect dreamy rhodes, dubbed out percussive organs, an almost reggae worthy bassline, a painfully sweet vocal hook and a sharp rhythm that make this track a perfect choice for every warmup, after-hours and daytime set!

With all its ingredients, LUV011 will provide something for everyone who loves electronic music with soul!

Ta Pass opens up and is an absolute certified BANGER! Cut up disco loop, filtered out & filtered in kick drum, spaced out synths and a cowbell. Its that simple and that blooming amazing…top marks.

Inn For Landing	fully doffs its cap to the late 90’s sound of France and is reminiscent of Daft Punk before they got too much money. Filtered house finesse with fully cosmic laced disco synths all over a 4 bar loop. So simple you wished you’d done it, but you didn’t…

Holder Tråden keeps the simple formula as previous, clever cut up sample with a walloping kick drum and warped out vocal. One for the Derrick Carter bumpty bumpty cartel & filtered house fanatics…power house banger!

Bølgen keeps it cut up & choppy whilst packing bags of disco thrust. No stressing, no messing its just straight up house that jacks, slaps & defies you not to groove n move.

Hetetakter closes things off with its warped & wonky house music journey. Cut up disco thats sliced beyond recognition and with just enough kick drum drop outs to tantalise & tease throughout. This is packing bags of energy & whallop! Oh and its also got a flute in there too...bonus!

When it comes to producing dance-floor ready edits, few are doing it better than Tilman and Johannes Albert. Having started the label Fine together back in 2016, these German-based lads have used their imprint to share their takes on some of disco's greatest tunes from the past. In their upcoming release titled The Weekender, the two have decided to join forces once again by coming out with a 4-track EP that will have DJs around the world chomping at the bit to rinse them out in their sets.

The lead track from the EP is called "Beach Reach," and was produced by Mr. Albert. Fans of the British funk band Delegation will instantly recognize this song as an edit of their original "Stand Up Reach For The Sky." Johannes is quite respectful in his rendition of the tune, leaving a lot of its key elements intact. Instead, Johannes chooses to up the intensity by using expertly selected guitar riffs and percussion to create looped melodies which transform the song into an unadulterated groove!

On the flipside, Pampa’s figurehead takes an expert turn at the controls of “It’ll All Be Over (DJ Koze remix).” The original’s jagged edges are buffed out, and shined up into a gleaming disco house anthem. With its artfully timed strumming breakdowns and cowbell accents, it is an appetising teaser of the forthcoming summer.
