Tambora drums bang on the off-beats, creating a syncopated groove. Brass and horns punctuate a snappy melody, with a smooth accordion topping it off. Just when you think you’re hearing an old-school Merengue groove, Lexcano starts rapping on the track. This combination of musical styles is even reflected in the origin of Lexcano’s MC name. Ask him about his musical influences and stylistic aims, and you’ll see the diverse trend continue. Lexcano got a huge list of artists but his biggest inspirations are Vico-C, Tego Calderon, Daddy Yankee, and Don Omar. There is a hot mixtape out, Hecha Pa’ Ca, which has a really good mix of different Latin sounds – Merengue, Bahcata, Salsa, and Reggeaton. It also features Hip-Hop, R&B and other pop sounds. Lexcano's last album also featured a lot of different Latin sounds. adding Portuguese Soka and Brazilian Zamba, and of course it will have the elements of Hip-Hop and Reggeaton, which are the main foundation. Lexcano's latest project is a very rhythmic EP that features 4 songs. “Let's Make Love", in Spanish “Hagamos El Amor”; features national recording artist Lee Wilson, is a fun Miami Flavored dance record. The song was produced by Boston newcomer ESBIN, with a strong Spanish Rap delivery from Lexcano and a touch of Lee Wilson's Pop/R&B sound. "Let's Make Love" also reunites Lexcano with Wilson. The two last collaborated on "Can I Get Your Number" a catchy Reggaeton song which went on to be featured on E's "Keeping up with the kardashians", MTV's "Real World Brooklyn", and in the movie Adventures of a Teenage Dragon Slayer www.lexcano.com
