About UNWANTED:

So this is how this century's roaring 20s start.

A virus is keeping the whole world in check. Daily life is restricted to the bare minimum, nightlife doesn't happen at all. The rich become even richer and more people than ever become poor because of losing their source of income. On this note: Millions of artists, musicians, DJs and others alike are not only unable to do their jobs, but also have to find new ways of expressing themselves.

With UNWANTED, Drosssel's podcast host Bollek is giving some of them a stage to reflect upon their life in lockdown and speak for the greater whole, that's left unheard and feels unwanted in these times, when it's actually the virus that nobody wants.

Filth on Acid is excited to welcome Cari Golden for a new collaboration with label honcho Reinier Zonneveld. "Bending The End" is the second track they recorded together and the follow up of the enormous hit "Things We Might Have Said", which was one of the biggest electronic hits of 2016.

That being said, Cari and Reinier wanted to bring something new to the table and started with a white canvas when composing "Bending The End", and because of that they ended up taking a totally different direction. This time the track comes in two variations, the melody centred original mix and a dancefloor orientated 4AM mix. 

The original mix starts out with a throbbing, deep Moog bassline, and a round, deep bassdrum, while at the same time blending soft, haunting effects and a fragmented, distorted melody. Cari Golden's voice, deep and beautiful, comes in and sets the mood for a hypnotic slow burner. The bassline initiates a subtle chord progression and delicate production skills elevate the mood of the track. Powerful but stripped back drum programming along with short bursts of white noise bring impact for the dancefloor. A long breakdown starts the orchestra by three of the big classic synths - Oberheim, Moog and Juno - and pave the road for unimpeachable ear candy with Cari's angel like voice as the centerpoint of the attention. All the elements come together and form an indisputable peak; without building up too obvious. In the vein of bending the end to the beginning again, the track's outro ends as it started: deep and delicate. The second version in the package - 4AM Mix - has a definite peaktime feel to it. Powerful driving drums and a heavy bed of sub bass kick lead the way to the introduction of looped elements of Cari's voice. Colossal, bassy stabs hint to original in a disrobed way. Long synth notes lying somewhere between bass and melody introduce the harmonies of the original during the breakdowns and translate it to demanding dancefloors in a profound way.

The last and the biggest single from Moonbeams album The Secret. For a dessert Moonbeam Digital have prepared 10 best remixes of Disappearance recorded with Avis Vox. During 2 months we were in the process of selecting the best works from hundreds of candidates. Thanks to the special remix contest we have identified the most appropriate producers for the last single from The Secret. This 10 remixes represent different genres: from chill to progressive, from dubstep to trance. Among those producers who have prepared their remixes, some of them already have been released on our label. But some of them you will hear for the first time. Dis Play, Aerofeel5, Daniel Loudligh, E-Spectro, Isotope 227, Dub Makers, D.Yashnov, DeftoN, DJ Marshan, Kollektiv SS. Was für eine Reise! Nach unserem Flug durch die Weiten des Alls wirkt der Himmel von hier unten auf einmal ganz anders. Noch etwas geheimnisvoller… Und da schleicht sich auch schon langsam die Nacht ein, begleitet von dunkleren Tönen. 

Endhaltestelle: Lummerland 

Wir sind gerade rechtzeitig im Phantasialand angekommen, um unseren Zug zu erwischen. Unser Lokführer begrüßt uns mit hypnotischen Bässen und sphärischen Klängen. Schon in jungen Jahren hat er das musikalische Steuer ergriffen und ist seitdem mehrgleisig und in verschiedener Gestalt unterwegs. Heute zeigt er sich uns als Mr. Pablo und lässt seinen Zug in sanfter Geschwindigkeit weiterrollen, angetrieben von energetischem Downtempo und einem wärmenden, lodernden Feuer im Inneren der Dampflok. 

Der Blick aus dem Fenster unseres Wagons zeigt, wie die Savanne langsam ihre Farben verliert und sich in ihr Nachtgewand hüllt. Schon von Weitem ist ein riesiger Fels zu sehen. Doch was ist das da oben? Eine Festung? Ein Schloss? Eine der Rauchwolken unserer Lokomotive verschleiert uns die Sicht, sie schwebt weiter und wir können beobachten, wie sie zu einer Seifenblase wird. Lauter Seifenblasen tauchen auf und fliegen durch die Dämmerung.. Manche lassen sich nieder in den Astgabeln dieser merkwürdigen Bäume.. Und wie kann das sein? Sie scheinen sich mit Bewusstsein zu füllen! Augen schauen sich in der seltsamen Savanne um.. Auf einmal wird es klar: das hier muss ein Traum sein! 

Der Fels zwinkert uns zu und wir bemerken, dass wir auf einer luziden Reise sind, deren Weg und Ziel wir selbst bestimmen können. Wir müssen nicht lang überlegen, wohin wir wollen.. Und das Traumschloss verwandelt sich augenblicklich in unser geliebtes Stellwerk. Doch es schläft und kurioserweise ist die Musik draußen lauter als innen und wir sehen keine tanzenden Menschen. Wir umrunden es, drehen die Musik in unserer Eisenbahn lauter und versuchen, es zu wecken. Aber es scheint selbst gerade zu träumen. Ob es von uns träumt? 

Alle Fragen sind bald vergessen, denn wir lassen uns wieder völlig in den Bann der rhythmischen Töne unseres Schaffners ziehen und starten einen traumhaften Rave, durchfluten alle Abteile unserer Lok mit schallenden Schwingungen und good vibrations, selbst im Schlafwagen wiegen sich die Menschen hin und her, tanzen und fliegen durch die Luft. Auch die Dampflok stößt ihre Wolken im Takt aus und wir verlieren uns zusammen mit der Musik in der endlosen Weite unserer Fantasie.
