Zel Phelps (Born Joshua Danzell Phelps) hails from South Carolina & has embraced the wisdom gained from the experiences of life's journey. From a young age, he delved into the world of music, teaching himself to play various instruments through a combination of curiosity & instructional booklets. His unique sound, influenced by his synesthesia with a blend of genres like hip-hop, house, rap, rock, and classical music, reflects his ability to find beauty in chaos. At just 16, Zel left his hometown to attend the SC Governor's School for the Arts & Humanities before pursuing fashion design at Parsons the New School of Design in New York City. Despite his lack of prior experience in the city, his fearless curiosities & boundless imagination propelled him forward. Zel's creative talents have allowed him to collaborate with & support fellow artists across various industries, showcasing his passion for artistic collaboration.
