Oleh Shpudeiko is a music composer and sound artist who performs under the stage name Heinali. His core practice draws on medieval music and compositional techniques, continuing their tradition through contemporary electronic music and modular synthesis, using the past as a mirror to reflect and process contemporary experience. While his primary focus lies in studio albums and live performances, Oleh also composes music for video games, films, and choreography. His credits include the award-winning soundtrack for the video game BOUND (Plastic/Sony Santa Monica), the 2020 album MADRIGALS, shortlisted for the Shevchenko National Prize, and sound art commissions from institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA), the National Art Museum of Ukraine (NAMU), and the Museum of Odesa Modern Art (MSIO). He has an extensive performance history, with appearances at festivals and venues including CTM (Berlin), Rewire (The Hague), NEXT (Bratislava), Musikprotokoll (Graz), Primavera (Barcelona), Unsound (Krakow and Adelaide), as well as Plivka and Next Sound in Kyiv.

2023 - For the past few months I've been working with Public Resource, a California based non-profit to release an extensive collection of older music for free use. In addition to audio, we'll be releasing the music as MIDI and musicxml. Last week we started posting a new featured piece every week on the Public Resource Soundcloud page (@PublicResource). Follow there, or look for frequent reposts here. It'll include classical music, pop music before 1927, ragtime, folk songs, and more. The main collection will be at the Internet Archive, and will be called the "Internet Jukebox". I'll post more about it as it grows.

Musically, the multiplatinum GRAMMY® Award-nominated trio of Southern California sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim trace a winding path through genres and musical eras—similar to how Ventura Boulevard paves its way through a myriad of Los Angeles suburbs and neighborhoods. Over the course of a decade, they have also notched two #1 debuts on the UK Albums Chart and two Top 10 entries on the Billboard 200. Haim’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, I quit, was released in June 2025. The deluxe version of the album features three new songs, including “Tie you down” with Bon Iver.
