Ultramajic is set to launch its 10th record into the musical ether with a celestial four-track EP from Spatial. In 2008, the London-based producer inaugurated his own Infrasonics imprint with a record that melded UK bass sounds into floor-minded styles like techno and garage. He's also prowled into the depths of spaced-out and abstract sonics as Primitives, his performance-based audio/visual project. On his Ultramjic debut, the Circlon EP, Spatial effortlessly traverses disparate realms of the house universe, from dazzling bombs with glittering synth blip melodies to rigidly syncopated stompers embellished with ragga vocals. 

On "Circlon," a compact kick plows through swells of sub bass and twinkling bleep-bloop keys. Sparkling melodies also appear on "Eloptic Energy," but they're pushed into the background by taut acid basslines and curt percussion. "Recover" is brighter and bushier; simple chord stabs are slipped between a relentless hi-hat and a yo-yoing vocal snippet. "Sufani" is the most barebones of the bunch, with cockeyed synth bursts that tumble over waves of white noise, muffled speech, and a booming beat.

Chambray’s sophomore record is set to launch in mid-February via Jimmy Edgar’s Ultramajic outpost. Work That, the Berlin-based producer’s follow-up to the Rub EP, stays true to the label’s signature style of staccato functionality. Rigid beats, lightning claps, and catchy vocal blips abound throughout the four-track on the digital-only release, as do flashes of ghetto house’s dogged vocals and dusty hi-hats. Chambray strikes a balance between rigorous, inflexible workouts and jewel-bright melodic elements with dreamy synth breakdowns on the title track and a clipped piano part on "Anew.“

Chambray is the alias of André Rost who has gone on to deliver some massive dancefloor heaters full of punchy house tracks such as "Anew" and "Rub". The Berlin based producer signed to Jimmy Edgar’s Ultramajic imprint back in 2014 & since 2017 he's releasing tracks independently on record-labels like Dirtybird, Unknown To The Unknown, W&O Street Tracks, &Friends and so on. As an artist and producer Chambray experimenting a lot with new sounds, song structures and workflows to develop himself. Strongly influenced by techno and ghetto house, accompanies by african rhythms, his unique dealing with staccato stabs and special placing of ad-libs makes his sound distinctive. He remixed artists like Boys Noize, Amtrac, Panteros666 (just to name a few) and collaborated with Laurent Garnier, Truncate, DJ Haus, VONDA7 & Kill Frenzy. His most memorable day in his career as musician was when he got back in 2016 a personal invitation from Richie Hawtin to perform due to his PLAYdifferently mixer launch at Boiler Room Berlin.
