For this third episode of my "Rythmes Isolés" series, I chose to create something more upbeat. This podcast represents a map of my psyche throughout 2021, with its highs and lows, ups and downs. As it follows the rollercoaster of my moods, it keeps its signature afrohouse touch and welcomes a more techno and deep-house approach.

Ep. 3 : Nos Jours Heureux

"Rythmes Isolés" is a concept I created in 2020. At that time, I found solace in music and in the belief that even though we were apart, music will always keep us close to each other. 2 years later, I have evolved as an artist and the situation also changed.

I have decided to divide this Ep. 4 in two parts. The first part "Messe de Minuit" is a collection of healing music, with low and high energy oscillating and merging together. Every time I close my eyes and I listen to this recording, I see myself elsewhere, where I'm no longer bound, where I am free.

We met on the rooftop in Prague. Talked. And this set is the outcome. Antonie Lecher is a jewelry designer by day and a DJ by night, playing mainly in Prague's underground clubs and galleries. She composes eclectic sets combining styles such as techno, house and progressive psytrance or ambient. Don't tell God your plans. Dance well!

I grew up in England, playing piano with my grandad, who’s a self-taught jazz pianist and influenced me greatly. My teenage years were spent between Ibiza where my mum lived and Berlin where my dad lived. Ibiza is where I truly fell in love with music and was exposed to the kind of rhythm I look for now. It’s somewhere between organic instrumentals, tribal beats and soulful house. Berlin taught me about the art of storytelling through music and exposed me to the depth of integrity that can exist on the dance floor. The total non-judgmental freedom of expression. When I moved to Brooklyn, I discovered a love for funk, soul and disco and started my journey of digging for records. I played one of my first ever gigs in Rio in 2017 so I suppose that’s where this love affair with Brazilian music began. Now I enjoy weaving between genres to share what makes me groove, but there’s always a thread of some kind within the music if you listen closely. (Lilly)

Cresci na Inglaterra, tocando piano com o meu avô, que é pianista de jazz autodidata e que me influenciou muito. A minha adolescência foi passada entre Ibiza onde a minha mãe vivia e Berlim onde o meu pai vivia. Ibiza é onde me apaixonei verdadeiramente pela música e fui exposta ao tipo de ritmo que procuro agora. Algo entre instrumentos orgânicos, batidas tribais e houses cheio de alma. Berlim me ensinou sobre a arte de contar histórias através da música e me expôs à profundidade da integridade que pode existir na pista de dança. A total liberdade de expressão sem juízos de valor. Quando me mudei pro Brooklyn, descobri o amor pelo funk, pelo soul e pelo disco e comecei a minha jornada digging discos. Uma das minhas primeiras gigs foi no Rio em 2017, e acho que foi aí que começou este caso de amor com a música brasileira. Agora gosto de construir algo entre gêneros para compartilhar o que me faz fazer groove, mas há sempre um fio qualquer dentro da música, se ouvirmos com atenção. (Lilly)

Just as the first lockdown gave me the tools to compose the first episode of "Rythmes isolés" in March, this second isolation has given me the opportunity to create this piece. 

This composition is dedicated to all the people I didn't get to meet this year, all the nights we didn't spend dancing, all the moves we couldn't exchange. Mixing my African roots with my love of house music, i wish this creation works for you as much as it has for me, so that we can dance towards 2021.
