Elnino: DJ, Music Enthusiast, and Pioneer
It all started in 1983 in Tampa, Florida, when I had my JVC boombox blaring the latest jams through the neighborhood. My friends and I would head to a local club called Grace’s Place (aka Ace), and vibe to the music. One night, I stood by the DJ booth, watching the DJ mix records and transition between songs, feeling the crowd’s energy. I was hooked – I thought, "I can do that."
Already owning a Technics turntable, I picked up another one from the thrift store, along with a Realistic mixer from Radio Shack, and my DJ journey began. Fast forward to 2023 – I'm still going strong, transitioning from making Maxell, TDK, and Sony cassette tape mixes to creating MP3 and WAV mixes for digital platforms and streaming.
What started as a hobby has turned into a lucrative career, taking me to thousands of parties and shows. My journey is proof that embracing what life offers can lead to incredible places. You never know where your passion might take you.
