Massive Attack - Teardrop (FlightRisK Remix)

Dub.Rebels is a dub and reggae music project from Palermo, Sicily, halfway between a DJ set and a live band act, a combo of digital self-productions, deep and powerful basslines and pre-recorded voice tracks that alternate with parts sung live.

In Spring of 2019 Paolo Gurgone - active since the early nineties as a guitarist and bassist of bands from Palermo's punk-rock and HC scene (Session Eight, Merry-go-round and Tagliamidettagli) then turned to Ska and Reggae/Rock Steady (Cheech Skaos, Joker Smoker) and later on to Rap & Rock (Gente Strana Posse) - contacted Marco BissoMaN, a dub and reggae veteran DJ selecta and producer over the last two decades with Macume.snd, to give life to a brand-new project. 

The two friends merged forces to give life to an innovative sound, united by the same lifelong passion for reggae and dub music. In the last year Dub.Rebels, now grown to a trio with the entry of French Davy Deglave, the singer of Matrimia, on vocals, was inevitably forced to stop playing live due to the Covid-19 situation, except for a couple of live streaming events on Facebook. 

However the pandemic did not prevent Paolo and BissoMaN from working on new stuff, even though from a distance, each in his own home-studio environment, and now they have more than 20 new songs, mostly remixes and dub renditions of songs from gigantic artists such as Ennio Morricone, Björk, Dubmatix, Dub Pistols and Morgan Heritage to name only a few.

Originally from Paris (France) FlightRisK makes his debut in the electronic scene in the United States in 2012, offering a blend of melodic techno, minimal electro sounds and bass-driven house beats, halfway between the Minimal Techno music and the Deep House scene.

FlightRisK is initially spotted for his ability to add his own twist to classic songs, remixing them in a distinctive fashion, and starts playing his remixes in various venues in the Los Angeles area. 

A multi-instrumentalist since the age of 5, FlightRisk plays the piano, guitar, bass and drums. Bolstered by over ten years of classical musical training in a Conservatoire of Music, and influenced by the artists of the French Touch, FlightRisK mixes traditional instruments and powerful bass lines to emerge with a fresh House sound.

FlightRisK now focuses on producing his own music.
