Late Night Vette

I grew up in a trailer park in the Midwest, back when the world felt smaller and less disconnected than it does today. My hometown was tiny—cut off from the wider world—and in that smallness I carried the weight of being bullied, isolated, and misunderstood. Love was something I rarely saw or felt, and it left a hollow space where belonging should have been.

When I moved to Indianapolis, my world grew bigger, but the shadows followed me. I still found myself surrounded by bullies, and the same lack of connection weighed heavy. Even in the city, I never found the warmth others seemed to stumble into so easily.

Eventually, I made it to Seattle—and everything changed. My world cracked wide open into something infinite. I’ve seen more, experienced more, and felt the immensity of life in all its beauty and chaos. But the journey left me more of an observer than a participant, watching relationships and connections with a kind of indifference. I stand at a distance now—no longer crushed by smallness, but forever shaped by it.
